I'm cosplaying Sakura Haruno from Naruto Shippuden. I'm kinda new at cosplaying. This will be my second cosplay. But I have more experience and advice than a beginner. But I'm planning on making it. I'm not entirely sure what kind of red top to use for her shirt. AS you'll see, it's kind of a tank top but has a turtle-neck-ish collar. Not exactly a turtle-neck but has a raised collar around his neck loosely. I'd put pictures here for you to see but it's not letting me for some reason. So if you're not familiar with her Shippuden outfit please look it up. I'm clueless and wanted to start as soon as I can! Please help please!

Maybe you could use a vest of some sort? Or you could get a hoodie and cut off the sleeves and hood then sew the ends so it looks nicer? I'm not very familiar with the anime so I wont be of much help.

Thanks anyway! I think I might do that now! It sounds like a good idea! Hopefully I'll find something red.

I am not an expert on making costumes, I normally buy everything I wear from an online store, a commissioner, or a regular kind of store. However, I think you might want to try out making it totally from scratch. You can find a pattern or make one yourself. Then you just sew it up! There are really nice people at JoAnn's and other craft stores that would be more than willing to help. Also, chances are, your art teacher knows something about sewing too. You've got resources all around you

Edit: I really ought to look at the dates people post these things. Chances are, you are long since done with your costume by now!

I hope something like this will help. It's her first costume but just follow the first box's pattern since it's quite similar to her Shippuden outfit.

Fabric: I highly suggest you not to use silk.
