It reminds me too much of my actual life.

Needs to be livened up a bit before I make the switch. However, I do like the privacy. Facebook is starting to get a little weird.

Google + is decent, I'm not entirely sold on it yet though. Kii's sentiments are exactly what I'm thinking of it so far. FYI though, while not so much on FB Mobile, if you don't want a friend or family member to see a status or link, you can set a set of people you do/don't want to see. Just click the "lock" icon and select who you don't want to see it.

I don't use my webcam much, but it sounds cool you can do stuff with it on G+. I'm not saying G+ isn't going to take over FB (it very well could) but until all my friends and contacts leave to it, I'm not in any rush to do G+ only. They need something that will make it THE network to use. Google is a powerhouse, they'll figure out something good. One recommendation I have is figure out something to incorporate elements of popular sites such as Groupon/Yelp.

Right now, I see Facebook as THE network, but 13 years ago if you told me people would stop using AOL, I'd think you were crazy. How wrong was I...

I asked a friend for an invitation a week ago or so, but I still haven't set up an account yet- not a lot of motivation to. Most of my friends are on Twitter which is where I'm rooted, and those who have moved onto Google+ are still on Twitter. I'll eventually set up one, just in case someone decides to send something via Google+ or someone who I want to keep in touch with refuses to join Twitter and instead joins Google+. Been wanting to delete Facebook for a while now, but I keep it just as a method of communication for those who have it.

From the looks of it, it has the potential to become another Facebook, ballooning to unmanageable proportions and privacy becomes a secondary issue, but from the looks of it, even if they do, at least they saw the criticism that Facebook gets on a daily basis in regards to privacy and decided to not go down that road. KUDOS! This is the advantage that Google+ has, IMO, since they saw all the issues and negative aspects of Facebook and were able to figure out ways of dealing with them.

So my major concern is if I set up a Google+ account, will I use it? Or will I just let dust bunnies build up because either nobody I know uses it or it becomes so difficult to keep up that I just give up? Since this is what happened with me and Facebook, despite having joined during the era when you needed a college email. It just got so noisy and difficult to keep up with all your friends that I just decided that it wasn't worth it... Never had the motivation to catch up since the apps made Facebook more annoying, and then anyone with an email could join, and then it was revealed that anything uploaded to Facebook was technically now the property of Facebook. But... now with people having learned what to do and what not to do on Facebook (remember when news first came out that recruiters started rejecting applicants because they saw profile pictures of you drinking) and realizing the fads (like having thousands of "friends") and such, should they choose to set up a Google+ account, it'll be a bit like a fresh start, a reboot. Hope Google+ doesn't take on the cons of Facebook...

I just signed up for google+ after a friend invited me and one of my favorite facebook pages said it was migrating there.
Of course, I don't believe any social network site is all about "privacy"...
But this is pretty nice haha. It'll be hard getting my friends to switch and make me not so lonely. They are all very "facebook is enough" type people.
