Exciting mini-update:
I fit into an old pair of pants that just a few months ago were too tight to wear. They even have a little extra room around the waist so I can wear them comfortably all day. :D

Woo! Finally bench-pressing over my bodyweight, 175lbs. at 168.8 lbs! :D My strength gains are still coming slow and steady and I can notice my body getting shapier....if that makes sense. Still trying to grind out better looking abs though >.< Hope everyone's doing awesome!!
Saikyo is the basis of every single martial art! They just don't know it yet...>.>!

Hey guys, kinda abandoned the forums and not for good reasons. XD

While I haven't lost much weight (one pound in a semester) I have been told I look skinnier. It's just, not where I want it to be. The hips, thighs and upper arms are the spots I want gone so badly, but because of reasons I still can't get to a gym, and I have literally NO ROOM ANYWHERE to exercise. It makes me feel so bad~

Since my umbrella ella ella eh eh eh eh..... under my umbrella... Since my umbrella broke I haven't been to the gym but working out at home gets boring since the weather is so gloomy. Hopefully I'll have an umbrella by next week to keep going.

Slowly but surely, I've been working out at home with Wii fit oddly and it's been working for me along with going up and down the stairs and such at work. Next year I'm going to try to train harder and find new ways of toning up.

Sucks, I was two lbs away from hitting 140 and had to get my wisdom teeth pulled last Tuesday. Lost five lbs since.

It's going well! I've been sticking with my primarily fruit and vegetable diet, and I'm about 5lbs from my ultimate weight goal, and I've surpassed my goals for ACen. I found an old pair of pants at my mom's house and they fit quite nicely. :) Bring on ACen!

I was 188 pounds, now im down to 168 :) I still have more to reach my target of 150, but I am very happy that I lost that much!!

Thanks for asking. Not so well with working out as much as I should be, but I'm still have dance parties in my living room when possible. Watching what I eat, cutting calories of anything kind, eating smaller portions and fighting those must have cravings.

WOW who knew the gym would get really hot today. What I thought was a slow hour was slightly busy today but at least it wasn't super crowed like at 6pm when there is a class going on. Hope you are enjoying the nice weather in Chicago.

April has not been kind to me, unfortunately. Between adjusting to a new sleep and meal schedule as well as a new job, it's been all I can do to keep balanced out. With the weather warming up, however, I'm planning to tackle this with more walking, particularly by taking my parents' dog around the neighborhood. (Won't be today, however, since I can tell the clouds are not happy.)

Yeah the warmer weather is nice. Aside from the gym, hoping just to get out and about and walk around. Got that nice downtown strip setting here which is nice to go through. Stairs at work and apartment (which is somewhere between 20-25 steps) help and Wii Sports as well.

I have no idea how or when this happened, but I kinda pulled my hamstring. It has been sore since yesterday, so today I didn't run like I normally would.

I'm pretty disappointed about this setback, but I should still be able to lose a few more pounds before ACen.

I've been working out with a friend for about a month and a half and we've successfully lost some weight and will hopefully lose a little more before ACen. I've lost 11 lbs so far by just adding some cardio about 30-40 min a day and recently added in some yoga for 10-15 min after. Also changes in diet like drinking more tea and water instead of soda. We also mostly cut out beef. We eat it maybe once every 2 weeks. Just minor dietary changes and adding in some exercise has helped us a ton!

Push ups or dips are crucial for tricep toning (back of upper arm. the spot that many ladies have troubles toning)
And full cardio workouts WILL help with toning the tummy and thighs. Even if you do not think that a full body cardio workout would focus on those areas. Overall calorie burning WILL help.

Also, WATER! Never underestimate the power of H2O. If you do not like the taste, add mint leaves, cilantro, lime, cucumber, raspberry, lemon, or tangerine slices! It gives the water some pizazz, tastes fancy, and you will drink more of it because of this. Guaranteed. Cold water does wonders for your metabolism.

I work on a farm and am thankful for that type of physical labor, as I started at 138 in March and I am 122 right now. Weight will fluctuate daily. Heck, HOURLY. Do not be upset by the numbers. Sometimes I "feel" toned and in shape and the numbers are actually UP. It's about understanding your body and its reactions. How it works. And knowing what feels right for YOU.

In any case. NEVER become idle. It is terrible for the mind, and for the body. Idleness increases depression and anxiety.
Keep moving, working, schooling, whatever it is you do. Breathe in between, but keep yourself intrigued and engaged.

i have been doing good as of late

my diet has been ok, been in the gym a lot and i can feel myself get a lot stronger

i want to get down to 8% body fat so heres to the hard work we all have to put in to get to are goals

At college where I don't have a scale, I'm not sure where my weight is... when I did a performance, my dad asked my mom if I was pregnant and my mom said I gained ten pounds... but all of my friends say that I haven't gained any weight, and if I have, it's not significant. (My guess as to why my parents thought that, if my friends are correct (and they are quite candid, so I hope they are!) is that they saw me while I was wearing a Chinese qipao that I bought in high school when I was underweight.)

My regimen started happening because of concern over my parents' comments, but... I'm eating a lot healthier and doing a ton of DDR (I have a lot of physical things that prevent me from doing like 95% of normal exercise, and DDR is one of the few things I can do.. but it's good cardio!) I've also taken bellydance here at school for about two years, so that helps with muscles :)

I can weigh myself in a week, and hopefully I'll be trim for con!

Mine was going well then off the wagon again. :\ Im pushing for weight loss after ACen at this point. I'm going to try to be active going into the con, but I think my real weight loss will begin after the con. At least I pray it will be. LOL

Thanks to Happy Hour at work my lunch break is late but I got to eat off of my coworkers' lunches. I found a new workout I'm starting out after ACen is over but I'm going to start practicing so I can get into the hang of it so I don't have to keep looking at the instructions.

I weighed myself the other day. Since starting to work out back in November of 2011 I'm down 15 lbs! I know it's not a lot for 1.5 years, but I have gained muscle too, so I think I've been doing pretty okay. Theoretically, as you build muscle it's easier to burn fat. So I should be able to lose weight a little quicker now.

If I can shrink down to my goal by next year then I might consider doing a Paine (FFX-2) cosplay again.

It's never too early to get started for next year, I still have a friend's wedding to attend in September so I have to get back into focus and lose those pounds and get that beach body for the wedding. So the question should be is will we still have that summer body during the holidays. Keep working out cause...
