Do you have some type of stove burner in your kitchen? You may have to wear gloves and be pretty careful, but it gets really hot and you can use that as a direct heat source. That's really the only thing I can think that would get hot enough to warp something plastic like that.

If it's thin enough, you should be able to just use it as-is. You can also use two layers, glue one to the other in the curved shape and it'll stay that way.

I'm just a bit nervous, considering this is the first time I'll be going to a photoshoot (My first year I didn't know about them and last year I got lost and missed them ><; ).
And I'm going alone, which doesn't really help XD I don't know anyone that likes Homestuck irl so I'll prolly be there with a friend dressed as a Vocaloid character.

How does the photoshoot go down? Geez, I feel like such a Con-virgin.

this is my first time going to a photoshoot as well, so i too am nervous about it u vu... theres hopefully a significant amount of homestuck cosplayers there, so im sure you wont end up being alone for long xD

Pika and bE, congrats on coming to your first meetup! It's not too complicated, we're all going to meet at Loading Docks A and B( this place) and probably hang out for a little while before hand. You may want to get there ten or so minutes early, just to be safe. Once we get started, me and Ezra and whoever else steps up to help will get things started by laying down some ground rules (which we are still coming up with), and then we'll go into taking pictures! We'll get everyone in a crowd and start calling out characters, and all the cosplayers for those characters will go up in front of everyone for maybe a minute at most, and then well move on to another character until we've done everyone. Hopefully we'll be able to get everyone done in time! Once we're done you'll be free to hang out with whoever or just go on your way~

Yeah, I think I saw someone post that there'll be at least 60 people or something from an earlier page. That's so many!
My friend said people at photoshoots are really cool, so I'm excited to meet people! :3

I've never conducted something like a photoshoot, but I always help out with giant outings at school, clubs, etc.
I know how difficult it can be to direct a giant group of hyper teens XD

Oh! And I'm 17, so I'll have some sort of seniority over a good portion of the cosplayers (if that helps at all).

Honey, I'm fifteen, I don't think age is going to matter that much if you want to help so long as you don't act stupid. And Saturdays in general are a lot more busy than Fridays and Sundays, so you probably won't miss too much! Are you coming from far out of state or what?
We really have everything organized for now, really all we need are loud voices and extra bodies just in case we get overwhelmed by the sheer amount of people. We're expecting at least a hundred? Haaaa over one hundred people is a lot. Although i cant really imagine there being a huge problem controlling people.
I live not far from rosemont, although i cant ditch school friday and have to drop my bags off in the hotel im staying at with some friends and get into cosplay, as well as finding the loading docks.

I've counted ~90 cosplayers that have chimed in on this thread (or had others chime in for them) so far that will be attending. Since there will very likely be many more that are either unaware of the forums or simply have not posted in here, I'm going to assume that there will easily be 100+, as WKG hinted. Extra loud voices are always appreciated since I'm sure yelling for over an hour would be a strain for any singular voice to handle. I sort of jotted down who everyone is purportedly cosplaying just to give myself a general idea of how to handle making up the photoshoot list, that being said--

I'm compiling a list of expected requests for group/pair shots, so if you have any special requests, now would be the time to post them. What I have so far is based off of either canon implications/set-ups or the most popular non-canon ships. I fully expect to be flooded with replies, lol. Fear not, I shall sift through them all.

Just a general FYI/reiteration, I will be (pregnant) Roxy on Friday (if you ask me why Roxy is pregnant, this is my answer: she sleep-procreated with Dirk on/near Derse sometime, yep, totally plausible, whatever, I can't hide my belly O_O feel free to replace that with whatever crazy ships you have, I'll even pose for them if you desire--you can also laugh at me instead if you prefer, it probably will look funny). As a brief aside, I contemplated being pregnant femDave, ha.

My only request for photoshoot groups is Tavros/Gamzee, but I'm sure you probably have that already? Since it's pretty close to canon? Other than that I can't really think of anything, sorry! Thanks to you and WKG for heading this thing, that is so awesome of you. Also pregnant Dave would have been so hilarious, oh man XD

On the line of groups/pairs, i think we could probably have larger groups, maybe, such as beta characters and post scratch characters, maybe the scourge sisters as well? Also, i think it would be a good idea for non-canon and small part characters (not saying on my part because im being UU), but i remember seeing some people talking a long time ago about being god tier nepeta and a god tier eridan before his design was canon..... And maybe if we only see like one exile cosplay, theres really no point in putting an entire section for exiles when there's going to be only one.

A megaphone would be pretty darn handy in case it's really loud on the docks or whatever. I had actually considered asking around to attempt to locate one, so if you could attain one for us that would be greatly appreciated. I don't have a particular costume chosen for Sunday, so if you all would be amused, I can wear my Dave shirt and some capri leggings or a skirt or something. Just for kicks and giggles XD

My photoshoot list so far is quite lengthy, but will be adjusted accordingly once we see exactly what we'll have when the time comes. There will definitely be a place for everyone, and we can either separate canon and non-canon god tiers or lump them all together, whichever the group prefers.
