Hey, spoony bard checking in here. I'm curious - what the heck was the photo I got called into towards the end of the shoot? I wound up posing with a bunch of Clouds and Squalls, but for some reason people were calling for Edward to get in there, and I was like "...Okay!" even though I have no idea what Edward had in common with those who were up front. (And then Tidus came in and was like "I HATE MY DAAAAAD" and we abused him for a bit... I HAVE NO CLUE WHAT WAS GOING ON. But it was fun. )

Hey everyone! Yup, Sid_Highwind again. I had a great time at the shoot (even though I was kinda bummed about my Cid cause there was no improvements plus I forgot my boots at home >.<) and my friend who was Yuffie (the one who accidentally pulled of Zidane's tail during the thieves shot >.<; ) did as well. Hopefully I'll see everyone next year if I make it, and I'll have the shots my girlfriend took up soon (and possibly Yuffie's pics since I dunno if she's on the forums or not.)

Oh and @Hoshigumo: Wow, it didn't click until just now that you was Shera! I feel like a horrible Cid fan now XD I'm kinda sad face cause you've been the first Shera cosplayer I've seen. Kinda wish I coulda got a better pic with you. So yeah, I have no problem with you photobombing the Cids XD I'm still waiting for a time when I see more Cid's besides Highwind to get a group pic with

Don't be! She's never had any offical artwork. I tried to do something in line with all the other character art and the country feel of Rocket Town. Still upset that the artists basically copypasta'd Shera to make Lucretia in DoC.

Maybe I can catch you guys again next year.

Regarding tagging on Facebook - after having done some poking around post-Katsucon, which seems to be about the time that Facebook changed its tagging system, it appears that you can now only tag or request tags if you're a minimum of friend-of-a-friend with the person who the album belongs to. (I figured it out when I couldn't tag myself in an album, saw someone else I knew who was a friend of theirs and added that person as a friend... and then I could request tags.) So yeah, unless we all friend each other, no tagging going on except by the owner of the album or their friends.

Unless I'm completely wrong and there's a completely invisible setting somewhere, but I looked over TONS of documentation for weeks and couldn't find anything about allowing non-friends to tag that was true any longer. Facebook's help area sucks and is horribly outdated.

To be honest, neither am I. Most of my future costumes, I'm going to have masks on because I just realized that I CANNOT smile for the life of me.
I was so horrible last year posing for pictures that I looked sad/mad rather than happy, so it's all good.

Lol yeah, that's why I'm going to change up my cosplays so I wear some kind of mask for almost every one of them. If I bring Shuyin next year, I'll see what I can do about that. Shouldn't be too difficult to whip up a mask.

It's okay, we started off at the loading docks then went ALLLLL the way to the front of the con center. I noticed we lost some people along the way too, but hopefully they made their way back to the shoot.
I see people are already tagging themselves and loving the pictures. I will have a MUCH better camera next year, and will also be cosplaying as Shuyin for half a day... but mostly for the awesome photoshoot.

Well some stupid security guards were parked (aka blocking) the loading docks. There were like 4 cars parked over there... and there was a lot more people than anticipated... plus it was quite cold outside...
I'm sure the person who set up the gathering didn't want to lose people mid-shoot.

I think it was mostly the cold weather. Every photoshoot I went to this weekend that was scheduled outside except for one (the Phoenix Wright shoot - practically everyone's wearing suits, so it's not nearly so bad as when you've got a bunch of poor shivering Vanilles and Rikkus and so on) moved indoors immediately.

Of course it figures - ACen's never been the warmest con, and this year it was almost a month early. But then again, this weekend it's supposed to be in the upper 70s there. Grrrr...
