Saturday, June 11th, at 1:30 to about 4pm

Forest View Educational Center
2121 S. Goebbert Rd.
Arlington Heights, IL

This year, instead of the usual Japan Fest, MAJC (Mid America Japanese Club) is holding a charity event in aid of japan's earthquake and tsunami.

There will be Japanese music and dances.

Tix are $10, seats are limited. The money goes to the Japanese Red Cross Society for Eastern Japan Earthquake Disaster Relief fund.

You can buy your tix by phone, e-mail and snail mail.

Go to http://www.japaneseclub.org/ for more info like who will be playing, and who to contact for tix.

If you can't go, but wanna donate, just send a check (payable to MAJC) to the address you'll find at the website I just mentioned.
(DO NOT SEND YOUR CHECKS TO THE FOREST VIEW EDUCATIONAL CENTER)

I think the best part of this charity event would be seeing the taiko drum event. That alone I feel will be most worth it.

I would like to thank those that participated in coming to this charity event for helping out Japan. The taiko drums were definitely awesome as well as the live performance from Aya Uchida. She is a beautiful singer. MAJC will most likely bring back Japan Festival next summer. Again thank you everyone that came out.
