All right, so thanks to my mom's convincing, I'm actually thinking about going to A-Cen next year. I have the idea of going as Maya Kitajima from Glass Mask, particularly her Bianca mask (from Episode 30 and the 1st season opening credits). However, my idea is a bit...well, difficult to come up with. Especially since most of the pieces I need to make myself. So this is where I ask for help. Hopefully in some way I can try and keep this cheap, since if I go next year, it'll be expensive trying afford everything. XD

What I need help mostly are:

-Her blue top
-Finding a brown, tied-back wig (with or without the red ribbon)
-Creating a "glass mask" - something that I can carry with me to represent the masks that Maya have, but won't break or chip easily if I accidentally drop it

I figure her boots will be semi-easy to find, along with the leggings, shirt, and possibly even a purple rose to carry along with the mask (representing her admiration for her number one fan), but those I feel will be the hardest to get, especially within an affordable budget and within my limited sowing skills. XD

Maya/Bianca 2 (from Ep. 30)
Maya/Bianca 3 (from OP Credits)

I have no idea. But Glass Mask is one of my favorite series and I love you for cosplaying as Maya. I plan to do her Aldis someday.

Someone better help you, because you're awesome. ;_;

XD I would love to cosplay as Aldis as well, but I just KNOW her dress and such would be way out of my league. So that's why I went for my second favorite mask, Bianca, and if absolutely necessary I'll go for my third favorite (Gina and the Blue Pot). Heck, if I knew it wouldn't be super expensive to do, I'd portray Maya as the Crimson Goddess, but like Aldis I know that's out of my league right now. XD

Sadly that's not quite what I'm looking for. XD
I'd like something that looks like a dramatic theater mask (like the ones used in the show - can be semi-seen in the third reference picture), or if not an easy way to make one. It doesn't even need to be clear - "glass mask" is just referencing to the masks that the characters wear while they play their parts, and how they can "break" if they fall out of their act.

Well, if you're not looking for a clear one, then maybe something like one of these would work?

Most of the comedy/tragedy masks I saw looked kinda creepy...

But I think if you look, you could find some less creepy ones on Amazon if you wanted...

Searching for "Mardi Gras masks" seemed to give me the best results

Hope this helps!

Several of those look like what I was going for, actually. The half-Mardi Gras masks, no, but the full face masks definitely.

Thank you! ^^

Hmm...I may try that, or see if I can get my brother or dad to help me if I can't buy a pre-made mask. Thank you. ^^

a weird suggestion, I'm not sure if this will work but I built a mask of mine, and I think this is a pretty easy way to do it.

1. Go to micheal's craft store, they sell full face masks of white or black. I'd say get the white one.
2. Get double sided tape and sparkles, either clear or white or some other color. (Not sure how well this will work but...
3. Hot glue the tape with sparkles all over the mask. Cover every inch. You're going to probably need a second layer of clear plastic tape. This might give you the glassy look you want.

I would say check out online how twos for vientian full face carnival masks.
