If you'd like a little more info about why hotels and conference space were so locked up for 2012 that far in advance...

June 23, 2011 (CHICAGO) (WLS) -- World leaders are gathering in Chicago next year for two international summits. Both the NATO and the G8 summits will be held in May.

LMAO, I imagine the police won't be able to tell the difference between a protester, a high school student and an Acen goer without a cosplay since those wearing cosplay would be seen as harmless after the police had training in anime.

G8 summit canceled, I think the NATO summit is still on but they're both happening downtown, I doubt that space in Rosemont would have anything to do with it (aside from hosting any other meetings pushed out of the city by those big meetings).

They're not letting the public anywhere near that stuff anyway, security is devoting designated "protest space" to lots several blocks/miles away from where the leaders are meeting.

Add my name to the list of regular congoers who can't make it this year due to the date change. Yes, I know it makes no difference and it was out of organizers' hands (yes, I did read the whole thread) but no one's gonna tell me that I can't gripe about it here anyway.
