I ran the photo gathering last year and everyone told me they had a great time, so I decided to run it again next year ^__^ Last year was a great success and I know next year will turn out just as amazing. I know it is early but I love running the Yu-Gi-Oh! gatherings since I've been attending them for the last 5 years. I'm excited and I can't wait to hear about who's working on their new cosplays or simply bring back their epic old cosplays. For those of you who attended the gatherings in the past I'm the girl who cosplays the Purple coat Seto Kaiba from the beginning of Battle City or for those abridged fans the "OMG ITS A GIANT ROCK" scene.

Ohyay! I think I'll be there as Duelist Kingdom-style light/normal Bakura if I still love Yugioh by next year! It really all depends, though, on how kid-friendly the fandom is. I know the show is intended for kids, but a lot of congoers are ages older than me. Could you give me some points on that?

I'm 18 now, I'll be 19 next Acen, and I've been going to the YGO gatherings since I was 14. Its kid friendly no one is inappropriate. We do it during the day so nothing obscene happens. Most people are fairly young and there are no creepers. I would guess they are all around 21-ish. I hope this helps! If children show up I know I will be able to control the group and enforce "kid appropriate behavior" because nothing crazy happens anyways.

I've actually wanted to do a silly Joey Wheeler cosplay. You know how he had like only a few monster cards, and the rest were magic and trap? Yeah that.

Dunno about a wig yet though. Might just temp-dye my hair like a golden blonde and leave it at that lol.

And I was just wondering if there are any other places other than eBay to get a duel disk that you guys know of? It's a shame I never had one when they sold them in stores.

I actually obtain my duel disk from a friend that was giving his away. That's my only best recommendation. Otherwise, you're going to pay a pretty penny for the original ones these days either on ebay or Amazon.

You really just have to get one on ebay or ask around. I would start bidding now and try to get one cheap-ish. But they are pretty expensive. Try posting a facebook status or something telling your friends you'll give them like $20 for theirs.

Hehe, I'm lucky. I don't HAVE to have a duel disk... X3 BUT! I am going to try to revamp Mokie a bit with a new shirt! *fingers crossed* I hope I find one of either of the colors on his shirt and then I can use fabric paint to try to paint it. What do you guys think?

I might be at this photoshoot this year with one of my backup cosplays that I have (just in case my confirmed ones don't get done or something, but they should >>). Anyways, the costume I'll be doing is this version of Female! Kaiba. I wanted to do her last year, but time wouldn't let me D:

We do. XD; But I have to see what I can fit into my suitcase. Still limit to one and one only with taking Megabus again. But you can't beat the price. I did get amazing responses as Kaiba at Ikasucon though. I would love to wear him again this year other then Matsuricon. I failed at getting a good picture of him.
