Think I'll be able to stop by next Monday. Hitting Chicago again Monday-Wednesday, this time taking my mom on a visit from Tacoma. Hope to pay for the trip with help from the casino ;)

Funny thing, I'll be staying at the Hyatt for a couple nights...it'll be like ACEN..just different days, not enough anime peeps, and paying just $46 a night.

It's the mess/damage surcharge. (j/k....I think, but don't take it as fact)

Hopefully the restaurants in there are decent enough.

I use them too along with bidding traveler. OMG I got a hotel in Toronto for $60 a night. That was super cheap. Save a lot on expenses and more spending on gifts! Before I go anywhere I make sure I can find it for less than the hotel cost (excel is cheap).

Now knowing I can get decent places to stay for cheaper then I would have thought I could pay, I may to travel a bit more.

Rivers is pretty sweet and literally right down the road from where the con is held. Parking is all on site and I've never had an issue doing the self park thing. You could valet if you wanted but seems kind of pointless since the parking garage dumps you right into the casino. I'll admit I mostly play roulette if I ever go but it's pretty nice inside and fairly busy especially on weekends compared to some of the others in the state that I've been to. They have pretty nice dining options inside too.

Yeah Hiro & I were talking about this the other day. Thursday afternoon does indeed seem like the prime time to make such an excursion.
What that do?

I've been to Rivers twice and enjoy it. The burger restaurant is really good, and the noodle bar looks promising. Also, the table games are solidly run.
