Another great year

Just wanted to take the time and thank everyone for another great Acen. Except for a few minor issues (none being the cons fault) I had just about the perfect weekend. I managed to meet more people this year than the last few. The Thursday night Shoeless Joe's event was great and I look forward to it next year. Apologies go out to anyone I may have offended while drinking as I get very talkative after a few drinks. Felfs party just like in the years past was awesome. Friday night at Gibson's didn't go exactly as planned but was still very enjoyable. Sucks, after eating well for the entire weekend I am now one pound lighter. Hope Xenoblade got to enjoy a Chicago dog or some deep dish pizza. Probably should have kidnapped him and taken with us. Thanks once again for all the people I met, all the friends I only see once or twice a year, and the people I've met before but finally got to have a real conversation with.

This was my 1st ACen and was extremely pleased with my experience throughout the weekend as well. Thanks to all the fun people everywhere!

I had an overall good time this year as well... apart from quite a few people insulting me and my costume.

Yeah, it was a good weekend.

Random Thoughts:

•I was thinking back to all the years I've been doing this and I swear I met more new people than any previous year by quite a few.
•To the three guys at the bar (not with the con, but having no trouble mocking congoers), you suck.
•Sushi at the Red Bar? That was a surprise.
•A casino just a short distance up River Road which should be open next year. Going.
•Chicago and surrounding cities, you never amaze me with all the road construction year after year. One day, I may see a finished River Road.
•There was a ton of dead deer along the highway the entire trip. Luckily, I wasn't the cause for any of them.
•Hopefully I wasn't too obnoxious Saturday night/Sunday morning. If I was, I apologize. If I was, you know why.
•Comedy Club, Goose Island, and Coalfire Pizza was nice on Wednesday.
•Was on the fence on coming back next year, but now I'm tilting in coming back more now.
•Really, how did I make it to my room? It boggles my mind.

I agree with everyone, that this was a great weekend. I haven't been to ACEN in 3 years, and from my friend that did go the previous years they always said that it wasn't good. Just don't want to stay back at the Doubletree again they gave us sooo many problems with our room.

Hahah, NEVER! I've been attending conventions of all sorts in Rosemont for the last two decades, and never once can I recall a time River Rd., 190, 90, Higgins, or Touhy - around the convention campus - wasn't in shambles. Any season, for no apparent reason, the whole area always seems in constant disarray. Frankly, it'd be unsettling to drive down that way, and not find it a mess.

Acen 2011 had probably the best overall mood and buzz, of any previous year I can recall. I suspect the very nice weather might have something to do with it, but whatever it was... T'was a good con!

As I stated in the general disscussion thread. I would have to rate this year a C. Not great, but still had some fun at least.

For me the best part of this year was the fashion show and meeting people from the forums. Then watching those people sing Disney songs ^_^.

This was also my first year, I had fun! I met cool people and made friends! sadly for the most part i didn't get their names, but it was an awesome experience! Hence why I made this account now : )

I doubt it. She just stuck her nose up and walked right by. I know I can be a manpart sometimes but didn't think anyone on the forums had a problem with me.

This year was the best year I've had so far. I met tons and tons of new friends. I got to meet a lot of people I didn't get to meet last year. There really wasn't a dull moment at all where as most years I'm sitting there trying to figure out stuff to do. I beat Megaman X4 on Friday lolz XD. The meet and greet was fun to. =D
