For those that can't make it to ACen this year... Anyone else? Wanna start a small discussion?

So...while all my friends, staff members and such are headed off to the convention, those of us that had last minute stuff, work, or other responsibilities come up that prevented you from going to ACen, let's start our own little club.

For me...I just got home from work not too long ago, back in at 7am tomorrow, and for Friday as well. Saturday I have "off", but I still have to be "on-call", so I won't be able to make it at all this weekend.

anyone else have issues that prevented them from going? I'm lonely :(

yeah but then i decided im just going to grow up and be an adult and admit that i need to file for debt consolidation... so now i can afford gas and groceries and not feel like i am a total idiot while looking for a job and my friends are paying for my rooming and parking. so i can come.

I still live at home and I just had a huge fight with my mom that resulted in me not being able to go.

i just found out someone i dont like is going to be in my room... so i dont think im going to go to acen... last year the person went nuts and said everyone in the room tried to hurt her :\ i really dont want to be around that again.

Yeah! I'm not going either, long story involving the hubby going to Basic May 3rd and then not going until Labor Day now. But I had already cancelled the hotel by the time I found out, so not going. It's okay. Money is too tight these days anyways.

And with the time already off of work, gives me time to do some serious spring cleaning up in here.

Lving areas done! Kitchen done! Laundry half done! Bedrooms and bathroom to go!

I quit IT staff for personal reasons and because my job was starting to get in the way. I don't think I'm going to make it this year. I will miss the shenanigans.

I've heard that registration is going splendidly so far ;)

I blame my back and my WORK NOT PAYING ME MY ONE WEEKS VACATION THAT REQUESTED SO I HAD MONEY. Also short term disability claims take forever to process....I'm putting my last few pennies together to survive the next few weeks ;-;

I can't go to ACEN this year sadly, but I am going to orientation for my Japan trip in June so its a win-win situation either way.

But man.. I wanted to go

I had to miss this year because of a health issue. Oh well, there's always next year. :D

I think I might have a good reason to miss going this year.
I went into labor on Wednesday, and ended-up having a c-section, giving birth to twins.
I just got home from the hospital today, and can bearably walk.

So yeah I think that this year will be a pass.
Staff from 2003 to 2010. Currently Retired.
