Hi everyone! I'm new to ACen, and I have a bunch of questions.

- What is 'Anime Premiers!!!!'?
- What is 'Anime Hell'?
- What is 'Midnight Madness'?
- Can you meet the guests once everyday? And if you can, can you get their autographs each time?
- What happens at the opening and closing ceremonies?
- What is 'M-net'?
- What is the 'Masquerade'?

That's all I can think of for now, thanks!

Oh yeah, I also got my badge via mail. Is there anything I have to do once I get to ACen, or do I just show my badge?

To quote its description from Anime Weekend Atlanta's site, it's "...hours of short films, wacky commercials, bizarre footage, forgotten educational films, inane public service announcements, and trailers for films that may or may not exist! Not for women, children, or sissies." In short, it's a series of funny and almost always tasteless/offensive videos.

Showings of fan-made parody videos. Yes, they existed long before Youtube and the many "abridged" series. If you search the web for phrases such as "anime fan parody," you should soon understand how this works. Here's an article which may help you: http://letsanime.blo...dy-dubbing.html

In the opening ceremonies, guests are introduced. It's a way to get fans hyped up about what will happen over the next days.

In the closing ceremonies, guests give their farewells. This is followed by the con staff's thoughts about how the convention went, as well as fan feedback. You're free to attend either panel, assuming you're interested.

A huge event which shows off some of the better cosplays, as well as fan-created skits. You can learn much more about the masquerade on the official site ( http://acen.org/cont...2010-masquerade ), as well as its dedicated section of the forum at http://www.acen.org/...um/4-masquerade

Guests have different events. Panel speaking to autograph sessions. Other than when the guest announces it (rearly from what Ive seen), autographs are not given outside the designated sessions. If there are multiple panels/ autographs, you are free to attend them as you please

Don't forget to stop by Registration to pick up your "starter kit," which is like a goodie bag. It's got the lanyard in it that will attach to your badge so you can wear it round your neck.

Edit: Also, I second that "What is M-Net" question. I have no idea, and now I am curious..!
