I've got a quick question here. Is the line to pick up badges at the con - I've already filled out all of my information beforehand - too terribly long? How early should I get there? I just want to know so that I'm not having to make who I'm meeting up with wait too long for me.

It depends when you're planning on picking up your badge. Earlier in the day, it can be a bit of a wait. (Bring a DS and Pokemon. It's great trading time!).. Later in the day isn't as bad. When you pick it up is your preference.
