Ecchi implies no nipple.
This definitely had nip.

I've always thought of ecchi as just being generally perverted without being full out porn. There are definitely a few naked girls in it drawn that way for no other purpose than to be drawn without clothing. But theres no sex or anything like that.

Manga moment had to be while I was riding on the Blue line home one day after college. I was sitting next to a woman reading her bible, didn't think she was paying any attention to me, and I had just put my book (I forget the shojo that it was, maybe MARS) down to get my phone. When I did so it fell out of my lap and landed face up to where there was a sex scene, and she looked at me then at the book and said, "Art Major?"

I was reading Bartender (or was it Addicted to Curry?) in class (shhh!) when the kid behind me started coughing violently to cover up his laughing.
I was on the ONE naughty naked page in the entire series.

You are the first person I have met that reads Bartender, you should try Drops of the Gods if you like it.

And it's always a tease. *grumbles*
Funny - I did actually start on Drops of the Gods, but then it apparently got licensed and haven't had the chance to read it since. It was really entertaining. :3

It didn't happen when I was reading manga where I wasn't supposed to, but it happened when I was buying it. At the time, I didn't know what yaoi manga was because I was about 15, and the store I bought it at had really cheap used manga (about $3 each) so I just bought anything that looked interesting. One of them happened to be a yaoi manga that clearly said so on the front of the cover and had a 18+ rating on the back, but I paid it no mind. The much older clerk looked at the book and then at me and gave me a dirty look, and I had no idea what I did to offend him. I didn't realize until I took the manga home and started reading it the next day.

What I don't know is why he didn't ask me how old I was because I think I clearly didn't look like I was 18 or older.
