The character I'm cosplaying as uses dual pistols. I was wondering if it'd be acceptable if I had them holstered behind me the whole time. They are held to the gun holsters with velcro so they're really stuck in there.
Pics included.

Yes, they would be acceptable, but, make sure you have orange tips on them (Rule about gun-type weapons) so weapon checkers know they arent real. Im assuming you could keep them out then too if you would like to. You can always out the Acen rules for weapons if you still arent sure.
~ Gun props must have a blaze orange tip, and are required to be sufficiently unrealistic that a person must be able to tell that the prop is not real from across a room.(Transparent, flat image on cardboard, futuristic/unrealistic, blue rubber training props etc.)

I'm afraid those guns look a bit too realistic.

Would love some IRT response on whether or not I can just keep em velcro'd in the holsters for the duration of the con.
My bad, I actually forgot about this thread.
I'll PM rabbi and have him come answer.

Sorry; I must have missed this.
Unfortunately, just keeping them holstered doesn't help; the rule is about the prop, not how it's positioned or how much of it you can see. I know our gun-like prop rules are strict, but that's the way they are for now.
