So me and buddies (P-Bear, NinjaJedi and others) typically go out for karaoke on Friday nights and would bounce around from place to place, but we've sort of started to get cozy at one spot in particular. The place we go to is El Jardin right in the middle of the Glen right in you guessed it, Glenview.

We for sure are planning on going next Friday (5/27 this upcoming Friday) but can typically be found there about every other week or so.

It's pretty informal and a casual environment and they got good Mexican food. I would say it leans a little more towards $$ than average bars but let me tell you that the drinks pack a good punch especially the margeretas. Well worth the money.

In any case, I'm friends with the DJ there and he always treats my friends well and has a good sized library. Let me just make it known now but he does NOT carry any Korean or Japanese songs. I mean, I never asked him but I would be extremely doubtful if he did.

Come out and let's make nice nice with each other. Or you can always just show up and lurk...

I am currently a karaoke goer on Sundays and Mondays so a Friday outing wouldn't hurt. If I'm not working at my bar, I'll be there

This place is the BEST! people of all ages go there to get wrecked and bust out the karaoke jams-- once an older woman took her top off on stage and was promptly ejected

Yea, especially here. 3 margaritas or long islands and I'm pretty well on my way. I think I'm going to work on a themed set list for next week if I have enough time.

How up to date are the karaoke songs list? My man needs to update badly

It's pretty up to date I would say and has a decently diverse library. If he ever gets hit up for a song he doesn't have, he will usually end up getting it by the next week or so. The DJ updates his library from an online source so he is able to get things a little faster as opposed to those karaoke DJs still running on discs which I always find to be weird when I encounter one.

I didn't get to sing anything at the con's karaoke because the wait was insanely long so I said heck with it. I stuck around for a few performers and it just got me amped up to go this week! Info for when and where is down below OR in the original post.

Yeah, I thought waiting ~1 hour (when busy) at El Jardin was bad but that Karaoke Madness with a 2.5 hour wait was a bit too ridiculous. You'd basically spend a whole night there just to sing one song... unless you put in your song, disappear for a while, and hope you get called up next.
