I've haven't seen this topic anywhere yet, but I suppose this forum is where it should go? Anyway, I've been looking into purchasing a katana or tanto, and decided that ACen might be a good place to look. I've also been looking through the recently updated Exhibitors list, but its been hard to find these particular vendors within it. So my questions are:
Does anyone have good sword vendors they'd recommend that might be coming this year?
Also
What are the I.D./s one would need to purchase one? I'm 19, and have a state ID, but are there any others needed at all?

Thanks. :3

The only thing I've ever been asked for when purchasing swords at ACEN is proof of age so state ID should be fine can't remember specific vendor names but every year I've been there have always been at least 5 or 6 sword dealers also if you are there on Sunday you can usually work out better prices but you also risk certain styles being sold out you may want to look and check ebay for price comparison just be sure to figure shipping in your comparison lots of luck
Hello IT, have you tried turning it off and on again?

I remember at least three specific vendors that just sold swords/knives/blade related tools. There were a few other places that had blades in them, but you would have to look around for those.

There was one place that sold really well made swords. The guy showed me the blade cutting a business card in two, not from top to bottom, but he actually split the card from the front to back. While these swords were obviously more pricey (at least 3x other blade places), if you are looking for a quality blade you will definitely notice them (provided they are there again this year).

That is the current list of Exhibitors that sells swords or sword like items at our event. It may change by the time the convention rolls around (might get bigger or smaller), but that is our current list.
As a general notice to everyone though, if you see a sword from any copyrighted show or series (which you shouldn't) please notify the Exhibit Space Team. We are at the Exhibitor & Artist Info Booths between the Exhibitor Hall and the Artist Alley. These types of swords, while cool looking, aren't to be sold during our Event (the same goes for switch blades and like switch blade items).

You should just save up your money and get a Howard Clark sword.
