Received Two Badges in Mail

One of my friends received his badge in the mail today, but instead of one, he received two identical badges. I haven't been able to look at them yet, but I told him I'd ask about it since I have an account on the forums and he doesn't. Thanks.

You will probably get a faster response if you email Registration(AT)acen.org
I know it is getting rather busy since we are so close to con, so going directly to the source will probably be more beneficial for you and your friend's circumstance ;)

i recieved a second badge just today too (i have e-mailed the registration team) but this one had my name in bold at the top (instead of the badge name i wanted or the blank area that was on the first one) but the same code on the bottom and an identical letter was included

We will need the blank badge name badge, and you can get the new one corrected in the Liberty room of the Hyatt or the Service Desk in the reg hall. The blank badge name was a glitch that deleted the badge name from some accounts and the only way to print those badges was to use the persons first name :( The blank badge name badges are not valid, all IRT are directed to bring people with them to the Liberty room of the hyatt to correct their label.

so the one with my name instead of the badge name will still work right?...or will i need to get both of them changed?

The one with your name will work. It's only blank badge names that are not valid badges.

Yep, I just got my mail today and low and behold, there's a 2nd badge. First badge I got was blank where the nickname should have been. This new one I got today had my First name where the nickname should have been.

So I take it when I go to the Liberty Room at 4pm on Thursday evening, I should bring both badges, and turn in the blank to be destroyed and the one with my First name on it will get a new label with my nickname on it?

yes, that is right. Liberty is only for handing out complimentary badges and staff badges which are 90% already printed so there should be little to no line at all for the badge printing stations, which we upped from 1 station to 4 to make sure there will be no wait time :)

This is kind of along the same lines. I got two identical badges in the mail, and nothing is missing on either of them, nor is anything switched around, etc. My question is: Are both of them valid, or should I just stick with the original one that I got in the mail the first time?

I received a blank badge at first then a second one with my first name one it, if we so choose do not want to get the name changed, and we just keep the badge with our first name on it (I'm acutally okay with it haha) is that okay? Or do WE HAVE to go to the Liberty room and get our original badge name on it (due to scanning issues, ID'ing people, etc)? Because I'm fine with the badge with my name on it.... ^_^ thanks

If you are fine with your badge name being your actual name, you do not have to have it changed. But if you could please drop off the blank badge at the Service Desk in the Registration Hall or the Liberty room of the Hyatt we'd appreciate it.
