I'm wondering if the Hyatt space will be just for guests, industry(?), and video rooms perhaps(no basement rooms anymore?)... If that's the case I dunno if I'll go over to the main hotel much...

However, I think Snider-san, (the guest from Hiroshima I read about from the newsletter), will be a great addition to the guest list so far already. Can't wait to see others?

Remember this is just a draft schedule and that some panels are subject to change, so dont go by the actual times or dates.

Exactly, this is MOSTLY for panelists to see times, do not go off this schedule for ANY type of Main Event, Guest events etc.

This is purely a PANELISTS Draft Schedule and a list given far ahead of time so we can get any changes completed this week. Ensure you let us know if you have ANY issues with the schedule for your panel.

Looks like some really good panels this year! This is the first year in a while that I'm actually quite interested in a lot of the panels I see listed. Kudos!

I would have preferred a later starting time for "Maison Ikkoku: The Musical", 10am seems a bit early for a performance. A Starting time of 2 or 3 pm would have been preferable, making it like a matinee.

I have no issues with the Signature II room...

I am a little sad not to see Sailor Moon Sailor Squares on any list whatsoever. I guess they decided not to do that this year T_T and I was so looking forward to it. No matter! There is still sailor moon talk and I WILL be there!

if you are looking for a panel that discusses sailormoon, you should go to the chichin pui pui! a magical girl panel, it will be discussed there and it was approved

A request to the Panel Programming Dept/ Website people:

Now that the notices are out, can you minimize the amount of stickies within the Panel Programming subheading? As people try and drum up attention for their various events, visitors to this website will have to scroll down past 9 topics to get to any recent information. More scrolling means less a chance of clicking, and that can minimize the attention and success of panels.

I know this is just a draft, but quick question- how far in advanced was this planned? Because if there are truly no panels going to be had in the Hyatt(aside from industry ones); I'd like to know next year. Cause if I am able to attend, I'll book a room where the panels are at.

This list of panels looks very very good this year! Though I also am disappointed about not seeing the Sailor Moon Sailor Squares panel listed for this year. I got to go last year and loved it to pieces, sigh. Well I will check out some of the other panels listed

Every year rooms are always changing, it depends on what we are able to get. This year we were able to secure nearly a full hotel just for panels, which is great for our programming.

I'll definately circle it on my print up of the draft! This year will really be about panels for me!

I thought the EXACT same thing and nyanderful was nice enough to point out that there is a panel called "Chichin pui pui! a magical girl panel" and sailor moon will be discussed there. Not exactly sailor moon sailor squares but still bound to be fun. Also there is A sailor moon panel planned just called "Sailor Moon Talk" currently on the list for Friday.

I kinda like that it's not all in the Hyatt even though that's where I'm staying. Means it won't be as crowded so it won't be super loud. That's nice.
But it will be strange not to have the Masquerade, concerts and dances in the Hyatt...I've seen them there since 2008....I'm not great with change. lol

Ah, okay- but indulge me a little here-
What IS being held in the Hyatt then? =/
The Masquerade AND Soap Bubble are listed for the Hilton as well. Those are two big events. I'm not talking about video rooms here, I just want to know actual events, such as panels/live events/etc

I agree with cherry_wolf here and I also want to know what, if anything, is happening at the Hyatt. I book my room for the Hyatt each year because I want to be as close to the action as possible and not walking out of my way, but if the "main hotel" is no longer where most things are going to happen, I'd like to be informed of that in advance in the future.

Next year the hotel could change again, Their is no definite answer to this question. ACen has truely outgrown the one hotel. We tried to accommodate nearly every panelists this year as you can see having the DEDICATED hotel pretty much allowed this. We are able to do this so larger events can be at the main hotel, including major guest panels as well. While this does spread things out for a bit, the hotels are VERY close together. Keep in mind we have had to split panels before, with some in embassy and some in Hyatt. We tried to condense things as much as possible to make it easier for the people who like to hit the Panel rooms.

Next year we might have a different set of rooms all together it will just vary from year to year. I doubt we could please everyone, however I do encourage you when we ask for feedback after the convention on giving us your thoughts about the layouts once you see how the final schedules are done.

Thank you for answering the main question at hand and I do understand that ACen has outgrown the one hotel. HOWEVER. You didn't list ANY panel for the Hyatt- you list Hilton, Embassy, and Double Tree. Is that a typo? Was Hilton supposed to be Hyatt? That's the main problem Ohki and I are having you don't list ANY panel for the Hyatt. So it confuses us, that's all.


I personally am fine with them being in other hotels. I come on Thursday and can run around the Hilton and find where I need to go.

But is there a reason why the Masquerade is in the Hilton as well now? I know you are Panel Programming and might not know the answer, but I really don't appreciate my question being ignored. A simple 'i don't know' would have sufficed.
