haha we filled 3 mailboxes in a row on my street then dropped off 4 more boxes at the post office a few days later. The post master came out with the bin for us and saw our envelopes and went "so you're the ones doing that" >.<

Yes, groups will be mailed out this Saturday. We have most of them boxed and ready to go!

Wow poor guys. Reminds me of the scene in the first Miracle on 34th street, where the post office brings in all those bags of santa letters. Except it was the reverse in this case.

Have you asked the postmaster if you could borrow a bin when you start badge mailing? I know at work when we do a mass mailing we get a bin, bring it to our office and fill it up. Even a simple call to your postmaster letting them know you have 8000+ pieces of mail to send out can be helpful.

And hey, you never know, if you send too much mail you can avoid the main lobby with the customers. Most post offices have a loading dock area for anyone that bring in multiple boxes of mail at a time.

I still miss the days when you had to lick stamps and lick envelopes.

We've used the loading dock before and years ago got bins but now we just use our own boxes that the envelopes originally came in. We might get bins again for next year, boxes got a little hard to find this year >.<

I'm sure this has probably been already answered but why aren't the badges mailed out by their order numbers. It seemes more organized. I mean I ordered my badge in early January so I could get the cheaper badge deal and my friends ordered their badges between 2 weeks to even 2 months after I did and they all got their badges before me. Now this is my first convention so I'm unsure on how things work but I find it slightly annoying that they recieved their badges first. In my eyes it seems a bit unfair.

On another note can anyone help me figure out when my badge will reach me? I'm in Chicago if that helps.

Our last day to send mail is tomorrow. If you don't get your badge by the 1st of May please email us and we will see what happened and how to fix it.

Our system does print in alphabetical order but along the way through our mailing process everyone gets jumbled, some get left for the next office trip, etc. We will consider a type of order next year though and will be mailing earlier in the year. We were a month late this year because our actual badges themselves were printed wrong by our printing vendor and all of them had to be redone.

Okay that's pretty bad news for the original badges but I'm glad they got fixed. I'm also glad to hear that you're considering sending badges in some kind of order. Thanks a bunch for the quick reply. If I haven't gotten mine by May 1st you can bet that I'll be posting on here like a mad woman.

I feel the same way, spring cleaning didn't help in keeping me waiting for long but at least my house is clean until my little brother destroys it again. I'll be waiting by the mail box. -Gets up from in front of the television and sits by the window.-

I have a question about the badges. Well, my badge didn't come yet from the mail but I wrote who I was cosplaying as for my badge name(I changed who I was going to cosplay as). Are people allowed to change the badge name by just whiting it out or is it not possible? Thanks!

We will be resending some of the badges that did not arrive. Sadly there isn't much we can do about the USPS and their rate of losing mail Out of the 6000 we mailed this year some were bound to not make it. Make sure you've checked your email for any ACen.org emails since we've emailed some people who had undeliverable badges. And we still have a handful who had issues with their account we will be mailing.

I'm going to guess it's going to depend where you live. I think Bloo09 said something about emailing them above if it doesn't get there by May first. Personally if it doesn't get there by May first I would certainly call them up and ask them what can be done about your missing badge, but that is just me.

They may, although I don't think they have done that in the past.

Your page will not change from payment received. We are looking at a way for it to update to mailed either by scanning the badges or it saying so when they are printed for next year.

Please email us at Registration@acen.org if you don't have your badge by May 1st. It seems like this year the USPS didn't want to deliver all of our badges unfortunately out of 6000 that were mailed it's bound to happen. Also please check that you did select mailing in your order. I've been keeping an eye on things still USPS makes me dreadfully nervous, they're customer support is absolutely atrocious sometimes. Might I suggest UPS next time? j/k.

It's pricing that keeps us from going to one of the shipping companies. We try to keep things cheap for attendees and hold onto the 2 dollar mailing fee which just barely pays for the shipping we do. We've had to switch post offices twice this year because of problems with their mailing >.<
