I don't have a strong love for comics, but I do enjoy the lore of the characters. I grew up on the X-Men, Spider-Man and Batman cartoons. I think the thing keeping me out of comics is just the sheer amount of history behind them. Some stories have been around longer than my grandparents, and that kind of huge amount of canon can be off-putting to some people.

I think it's a bit easier to get into manga because you don't get many stories like that. Even the long ones don't normally last beyond 10 years or so, the majority are much shorter.

Though all that side, I certainly don't hate comics. They're just not my thing.

i have to stress again that this is only true for superhero comics-- and even with superheroes, the only ones that have existed for decades in different iterations are the ones from marvel or DC. i've read a lot of comics recently, and only maybe one or two have been superheroes--the maxx and zero girl--and those were all one storyline run, and then it's over.

also, as far as length, there are really good comics that last a single graphic novel or two and then end, so you don't have that issue some people have with manga where they have to collect 14+ volumes of a manga in order to see it through to the end. i think pretty much EVERY comic i own or have read recently is just a single graphic novel.

but was it technically hug if the writer says it was just one sided smex? I mean it wasn't forced...right? or...was it?

Yeah, do u think shes doing it from a censor stand point, and trying to avoid that term?
