i would like to throw renaissance fairs into the mix.
as someone who spent most of their middle school years playing the vaguely european medieval fantasy console rpgs, going to ren fair is the closest i've ever felt to living inside a video game or a fantasy novel.

OMG, those are the only shows he does now....that or those "man or woman?!" shows he does. i used to watch maury every day!

Same here! I don't know if you're in the Chicago/Illinois-ish area, but the Bristol Renaissance Faire is awesome! I only wish I had a couple hundred dollars to blow on schweet leather armor from one of the stalls there :/
