problem with the evo though....its old.
I rather a 1 ghz processor then just your claim to fame is tv hook up, a bigger screen and a kick stand. Thats what I get a tablet for.

Er? Not the Evo 4G from Sprint....it's less than a year old. Heck, it's just baaarely half a year old.
I love my HTC Evo 4G. wouldn't trade it for the world. and Sprint has gotten a WHOLE lot better since I last had them some years ago. Much better than that ATT crap.

Apple had a major head start in the game, therefore they have the most momentum. Not that that's always true, but it is very in this case. Also, it's Apple. Android, however, is a very strong competitor, and at this point Apple may have the power in staying alive, but Android has way more acceleration. It's simple, the Android OS is not bound to one company. Any phone, any carrier can have it, therefore it's superior, in business terms. Not only that, but anyone can develop their own, since it's open source. It's up to each manufacturer to decide how they release their Android OS, and whether or not they want to block you out like a bunch of chochkies. (screw you Motorola)
Regardless, the iPhone is awesome, Apple is awesome, but I have my insanely large Droid X pride sitting comfortably right next to me, and it's been the best phone I've ever had. I can do so much more with it than I could my iPhone, when I had it, despite it being jailbroken.

I have and an iPhone because I needed a new phone and my sister wanted to upgrade so that is how I got an iPhone. The bad thing is I have no internet on my phone and I like it that way.

Touché. My first iPhone is an iPhone 4. I didn't buy iPhone 4S because I'm predicting when I finally upgrade (I'm at the two year mark) iPhone 5 "should" have some more features. My dad has a 4S and it's cool but nothing I need to get ASAP. I like to call it: Super iPhone 4 Turbo.

We thought of switching to Android (because it is more nerdy-cool) but we have way too much money sunk into iTunes and iPhone apps to switch now.
Besides, I find it endlessly entertaining to ask Siri suggestive questions.
True story: I once asked Siri for "Directions to airport" and she came back with "Would you like to buy an airport?" O_o

I actually just bought my first smartphone. I couldn't afford it before now, but luckily I have a pretty sweet job now so I splurged and bought the Android HTC Rezound. It was the one I liked the most and it has pretty much all of the same specs as the nexus and it comes with free headphones. I absolutely love it! My boyfriend had an iphone and upgraded to the iphone 4S and Siri is pretty entertaining. I asked her if I could break her and she said "I'd rather you didn't". Also, asking what the meaning of life is, is pretty funny too. I like both phones, but I love the customization on my androids versus the iphone. Both are great, especially if you've always had a crappy text+call only phone!

they annoy me because since i dont have one my friends cant figure out how i dont answer them at light speed on facebook because my phone doesnt have internet...my phone texts and take calls...thats all i need it to do!
