this is a great idea!
my cosplay group spends as much time on our rave outfits as we do our actual cosplays!
(there will be duct tape... everywhere o____o)
we'll be those dancers that are wandering around in bikini tops and giant pants and body paint all over
... we put a lot of time into these outfits xD

9:30 sounds good! (our group is going back to change at like.. 7, anyways)
we could all meet by the fountains that change colors, under the over hang at the convention center?
that would be interesting for pictures of brightly colored people!

well, last year a group of people got together and had a small photoshoot at the color changing fountains
people were nice enough to either move or take pictures with us!

...you could also make a real photoshoot with a time and everything? i'm not sure when those will fill up, though

oh wow.. body paint is popular xD
we are very into the body painting (two of us in the group being artists, that kinda happens)
we are getting our body paint online. it's a glowing body paint that glows without black light.
it's also non toxic xD which is a good thing

if we have any left over, we would be more than happy to paint those who want to be glowy xD
we will be bringing the body paint to the rave anyways and putting it on there since we don't want the glow to wear off before the actual rave, which will be convenient for those who also want to glow
but, i don't think it would be right to pay us to paint on you with paint... if we have left over, we'll be glad to share
yet, if we don't have left over, i'd feel bad.

so, i thought of some options, for those interested
1. hope we have left overs
2. buy your own and go beserk, or even ask us to do it for you, since we're "pros" xD
3. send me a message and i can buy you your own body paint, since it's cheaper to buy in bulk, and that way you'll have your own entire container to do with as you wish!

Okay, some questions for everyone: Where exactly are the fountains that change color? Do you mean the fountain in the garden area?
Also, I'm not sure how to go about making it a 'real' photoshoot (are you even allowed to if it's not cosplay? I know that lolita and gaiahave official time slots, but they are also both in the cosplay forums? This thread was originally post there too, but got moved here. Doesn't make a lot of sense to me since lolita isn't cosplay either, but I don't know!) I don't think there will be any cosplay photoshoots outside around 9:00 at night (not good lighting and all that), but I guess I could ask for a time slot if that'd make everyone feel more comfortable. the fountains that change color is not the tiny fountain in the garden. the fountains that change color are at the opening of the convention center. not the hotel, the convention center. aka, the big building that has the registration line, artist alley, and dealer's room xD i will add a couple of pictures for you. the good thing about meeting up there is:
1. it won't have to be scheduled by the acen staff, so it can be at 9
2. it's lit at night, so nighttime pictures are good to go
3. it's BIG

Ahh, I somehow missed that you mentioned the convention center. I was like...hmm, that won't be lit very well xDD That makes much more sense and is a good location, thanks!

ah, okay xD i was wondering.. how a person who had been to acen before knew of the garden but not the giant fountains in fron of the convention center. they're... well, they're kind of hard to miss! but, i figured, what better a place for bright costumes to be photographed than a bright area!

yes.. i noticed a cyberpunk photoshoot? that's relatively close to rave gear and they have a shoot? it's confusing to me, as well. i also am not sure if they are still filling slots, since they have the set in stone schedule up.. though, it doesn't hurt to ask

OH I forgot to tell everyone that I did ask for an official spot...but looking at the schedule, I'm not sure it will matter. It seems as though you can't reserve the front on the convention center? Even so, I'm just waiting to see what will happen, hopefully they can do something to secure the spot (and if not, we will probably be able to just go there and meet up anyway). So...yay and stuff. Yeah. xD

i can bring like 4 ppl to this! just meat in the lobby pfft.. it should be easy to spot out ppl that look like they are goin to a rave, right? well maybe not so much at ACen, but still.. i think the lobby would be the easiest place to at least gather ppl.

Thing with the lobby is that it's going to be crowded like nothing else and you can't just judge by people wearing rave gear since there are people who attend ACen in rave gear all day long.

As for my rave attire, I've got things somewhat thought out. I know I'm wearing my kigu (it's a summer version so not so bad), but I need a few more things to make it more rave suitable.
