I really hope they go to the Schaumburg Convention Center. I know they said it doesn't have enough hotels within walking distance, but Kollision isn't at the point where they need a bunch of hotels nearby like ACen. Plus, they will most likely be a ton cheaper than the ones at ACen.
The Renaissance Hotel connected to the convention center is only $119 per night (I checked for November). The closest hotel is an Embassy Suites ($139 per night) which is roughly half a mile from the convention center (if you drive. it's a weird route to get from the ES to the RH) and less than half a mile if you walk. The Radisson Hotel ($119) is also roughly half a mile from the convention center, but not walkable.
Since these hotels are pretty cheap, the discount would make it even cheaper. Maybe they could also work out where they can have shuttles going from both hotels. There are only 474 rooms and 26 suites, but you have the other two hotels. Besides, a lot of people might commute because many people who go/went Kollision were probably locals (or from Indiana and other areas of Illinois) or some might just go/went for one day because it's still fairly new. The Renaissance is also right across the street from the previous hotel.

Because the hotel staff were sticklers and they had sticks up thair butt half the time
and the hotel was kinda small
but they relocated at the Pheasant Run Hotel in St. Charles illinois
