i will give the ah! my goddess and gintama OADs a shot with lowered expectations.
i don't like gintama, but the author had a really entertaining one-shot in jump recently, and supposedly that series improves as it progresses? this is your final chance, gintama..

i would like to reply, but i have no idea which part of that post shocks you.
if it's the gintama thing, i'm definitely not the only person who doesn't find the beginning of gintama charming or funny at all.

i didn't focus real hard on it, or read a bunch of chapters/episode, though;
i basically just gave it one chapter and one episode, it looked like a 'wacky' version of bleach or something, nothing about it amused, entertained, or educated so i washed my hands of the whole thing and pretended it never happened. however, the one-shot the author did in jump recently was FANTASTIC and hilarious.

I didn't include OVAs or movies do to their spotty availability.
As for the shows I am watching Level E has moved to the front of the pack, the recent RPG run has been hysterical. Fractile is growing more on me and Gosick is starting to get a bit less interesting. My opinion on Hourou Musuko really hasn't changed at all.
Level E Eps 7, 9/10 Watching
Hourou Musuko Eps 5, 8/10 Watching
Fractale Eps 5, 8/10 Watching
Gosick Eps 7, 7/10 Watching

OAVs tend to have better animation, and storylines that are planned out a little better than the average tv episode, though.

I'm still watching:

Bakuman, Star Driver, Super Robot Taisen, Lilpri, Starry Sky, Mitsudomoe, Rio, Infinite Stratos, Yumekui Merry, Madoka Magica, Kimi ni Todoke, Gosick, Freezing, Oniichan, Kore wa Zombie desu ka, Dragon Crisis, Level E, Hourou Musuko, and Fractale.

oTL

At least that's only a few eps a day. =3

Either way, a few of them well exceeded my expectations for them - especially Kore wa Zombie, because I went into that thinking it'd be moe trash. Zombies are getting old, lately. Hourou Musuko is definitely my favorite of the season, and Rio is the obvious worst show... though I haven't dropped it for reasons unknown to even myself.

I REALLY hate SHAFT because of their poor animation they've been using the past year or so, but I thought Madoka's artwork originally reminded me of Hidamari Sketch, which I love. So I picked up Madoka anyways... only to be let down by the animation. Storyline is quite good, however, so I've been hanging on if only for that reason.

I feel like Level E was originally going somewhere, but they've veered off. I'm not too happy with the lack of visible plot at this point, though the show is still pretty funny.

Bakuman, Star Driver, Super Robot Taisen, and Lilpri are rollovers from last season, and I love the first three. Not looking forward to them ending at all. Lilpri, however... feels like it's growing old. It took quite a few episodes to really get into the pacing and plot (10-15 ), but seeing as it's a magical girl series, I've told myself I have a goal to watch all of them... so there I was stuck with it. It's actually not so bad (or maybe I've gotten used to it ), but seeing as a real villain didn't enter until just recently (40ish episodes in ), I'm wondering where they're going to go or how much longer this will be going on for.

Oniichan is hilarious and I love it to death, regardless of how that makes me look. The rest of the series are pretty good also this season and I'm fairly well enjoying all of the ones I haven't actually talked about, besides Freezing... which I'm a tad bored of. But I'll keep watching it to see how it plays out.

As usual, I hope most of these have manga that they've been adapted from and that they'll come stateside so I can buy them up like the greedy manga fool I am.

As most of the shows of the Winter season comes to a close what did everyone finish?

By the end I was only watching two shows: Level E and Fractale. I got about half way through Wondering Son but I just couldn't keep going. I have no issue with slow moving plots in general but Wondering Son took it to a new level of slow. Gosick Was my top show at the start of the season but by episode 9 it just seemed lacking. The mysteries were far to simplistic and the characters developed in far to predictable manners.
