We are only a few months away from Acen i guess its time for me to start a thread about The SoapBubble. i have some really big things planned for next year as usual and i've been working on getting the DJ line up for next year. here is the currently DJ line up

ACEN RESIDENT DJ'S:

DJ Maru: Chicago (Drum & Bass, DUBSTEP, House)

DJ Khek: Milwaukee (House, Hip Hop, Electro)

DJ Vinh Vu: Detroit (House, Electro)

DJ Jeffito: Chicago (House, Electro, Hardcore)

I'm still working on other special guest DJ's at the moment so come check here often to see the lastest news and info.

With all due respect to the current DJ roster and your selections, this was pretty much the same exact lineup as last years. While I'm happy too see that someone is playing DnB and Dubstep (I was gonna spin dubstep myself if someone wasn't doing it.) you've got a ton of guys in Chicagoland like AutoAxon, TheoG, Molly Bass, Tolgar & PM, Spacecadet, and DJ Solo that I'm sure would be happy playing for 6 to 7 thousand. Hell, I wouldn't mind seeing Nameloc return.

I know it's not the final lineup, but I'm still a bit dissapointed that there wasn't a name on that list that didn't play last year. Also, what happened to taking requests for DJ's?

I usually try to avoid going to raves at cons (oh the Con funk T-T), but this sounds like a pretty good line up. I hope I don't have to miss any other good evening events.

these DJ's are Acen's Resident DJ's and will always be spinning at The SoapBubble. they are the reason that the SoapBubble is the way it is they play there hearts out every year for the fans of acen and the SoapBubble and i'm not about to get rid of guys that have been loyal to acen and always bring there A game.

i'm still working on getting a few more DJ's and i also might have a surprise for everyone next year as well so lets not trash or talk down about the DJ's that perform for the love of the party, acen, and for the fans.

OH!!!! I can't wait to dance my heart out in a few months, just 4 more months until my mini-vacation. (^.~)b

I couldn't last year because I tripped and fell and ended up scraping both hands and knees and badly bruising my right knee on a brick embedded into the ground. Don't worry I'm OK everything healed the rest of May and June. Anyone see that? I stayed for a while for my friend to enjoy, we both liked it but the line in the back, to get inside, was too out of hand after 10 o'clock.

If I get my vacation set for Acen I could actually go to Hardcore Synergy and the Soap Bubble. Wish me luck!!!

I was wondering if there was a way to organize another dance/rave at acen? My boyfriend and I host/organize events/raves in the Chicago Underground and would love to bring the experience to acen goers. I personally have been attending acen since 2000 and we have been working in the dealers room for the past couple of years. We have also been a small part of the Khaotic Kouture fashion show.

Our dance for acen would be a videogame themed rave call THWOMP! 2.0 since this would be our second videogame themed rave. We were just interested in bringing it into acen.
All music, decor, etc would be influenced by the theme.
All lighting, sound, and other equipment would be provided by us.
All DJs would be booked by us, Pixel Kitty Kreations.

If someone could contact me about how I could go about this or who to approach with the matter, please do not hesitate to contact me.

well i was willing and i REALLY wanted to see if i could apply to be the DJ..yeah im not a HUGE DJ like Heavygrinder was but i have a good enuff fanbase to actually back me up!!!!! I spin original music, i make dubsteps, electronic, house, and drum and bass. I fuse my original beats, which i make on the spot and from scratch, and fuse it with common and indie songs!!!! PLEASE!!!! I WANT TO AT LEAST SPIN AT ACEN ONCE!!!! I KNOW I CAN DO THIS!!! and since im indie, i can relate. i've been attended ACEN for 4 years now so i know the crowd. WHAT IS BETTER... a DJ that just spins because they are a DJ or a DJ that was an audience at one point and knows the what the people want? SOOO PLEASE...I BEG U...GIVE ME A CHANCE!!!!

If your interested in spinning at Acen you need to send me a demo and I need to hear you spin live.

I don't let just anyone spin for the soapbubble there is a long list of guys ahead of you that are up for possibly spinning this year. So send me your demo cd and were I can hear you spin live.
