So is anyone planning to cosplay as anyone from Higurashi?

I'm gonna be coming as Keiichi in his usual school wear, except the shirt will be blood stained and I'll have a baseball bat also spotted in blood

I was in the Higurashi Photoshoot last year, it was very good.... im sure more people will pop up and join ya.

im alraedy doing Umineko no naku koro ni, and Angel Beats this year but i will swing by for pictures ;D

I'm thinking of cosplaying as Rena but haven't decided yet...mostly because I HATE wigs. My hair is actually similar to her style, if it wasn't for my purple under layer I could probably do it without a wig.
Also I'm trying to talk my friend into being Rika.

I should have my Mion all revamped by then, so I plan on bringing her in her school uniform!

If I do go to ACEN, I might go as Detective Oiishi (spelling?). Granted I need some aging make up and a white wig. I basically got everything I need for Oishi in my closet. (Yay for cheap closet cosplay)

Maybe for 2012, I'll go as casual Keiichi.

Also, how important do you think the type of bat is? In the series he uses a metallic bat and all I have is a wooden one. =/

Yeah, I don't think Keiichi is too over done. At Ohayocon, I only recognized one actually.

As far as the bat goes, I mean if all you have is a wooden one, then you might as well go with it, but you might want to give it a metallic silver paint job if you don't mind doing so to the bat. I mean I'm bringing a metal bat, except it's orange right now, not sure if I'll have the time to paint over it.

I also have a bat. Found a grey/silver plastic one at Goodwill for 50 cents and wrapped the base with black duct tape. I guess I'll cover myself in blood too lol.

Nice... I'm bringing along an aluminum bat. Unless I find some metallic silver paint soon, I'm just gonna leave it as is.

Very nice. I'm not sure how to go about writing the kanji on the bottom of the bat. A piece of white tape? Also, I'm no good at writing kanji so I may skip that part. D: Hmmm.

Yeah, I just used some tape I found in the garage XD. If you're good at drawing while looking at something, then Satoshi's name probably wouldn't be too hard. It's not like you are going to get criticized if your Kanji is off

Hey anyone have any suggestions for accessories or weapons* for my friend going as Rika to carry? I thought a syringe but it doesn't really make sense for her to have one does it.
