For the next few days, at least for those up in the midwest, we're going to be dealing with a whole lot of wind, ranging into the 25-40 MPH area and gusts reaching up to hurricane-force. Adding onto that, we have a chance of storms with more destructive winds and chances for tornadoes (there was already one reported in Racine County), and the temperatures dropping from the mid-upper 60s to the low-mid 50s - and even snow way up to the north. XD

So take care out there. Stay safe while driving and or going out, and hopefully everyone who had decorated their yards for Halloween has everything tied down. Hopefully there won't be a whole lot of power outages and damage - the last thing I think any of us wants is to run into a downed power line or have a tree fall onto their car or house.

That is the first time I've ever been woken up by a tornado siren x.x; I hope it is the last. It leaves me a grumpy kitten.

But I love the fall, so all is forgiven :)

My mom keeps watching the trees in my yard sway in the wind. I'm pretty sure they won't topple over onto mine or the neighbor's trailers, but still it's kinda creepy watching them move. XD

Actually, I keep a fan at my desk at work... but I keep it on for the breeze, not the temperature change.

Still fairly nice here in Montana...and that can actually be bad news. Usually when we have a mild autumn, we get pounded in January with blizzards and subzero temps. If we have a mild winter, that means massive forest fires in the summer.

Hope everyone stays safe out there. I saw some pics of the wind damage in Illinois...makes me worry about you Midwesterners.

Fine. YOU come over and rake my yard-full of downed limbs, branches, leaves, and other detritus, trash, and Cthulhu-knows-what all over the place...

Of course it IS a good time to rake my leaves into the air and let them be carried off down the street so I don't have to deal with them...
