So let's talk about the season here. :]

The Stars first game is against the Devils it seems.

But we play the Redwings (with the traitor modano :<) as our first home game. D:

The Blues play the Flyers and the Hawks play the Avalanche.

Well the Sabres are different this year I'm not sure if they are any better but they have added some size on the blue line.
At Goal they might be the strongest team in the NHL with Miller starting and quality goaltender Patrick Lalime backing him up. Jhonas Enroth is in Portland and he could start on some NHL teams and is definitely a back up on nearly any team.

Forwards:
1st line: Thomas Vanek, Derek Roy, Drew Stafford a line that when they are hot is among the elite scoring units in the NHL. Stafford was an ice cube last year, Roy spends too much time in the box, Vanek is one of the best two forwards in the game but cannot carry the line alone.
2nd line: Jochen Hecht, Tim Connolly, Jason Pominville this line is also a return from last year which for the playoffs and good chunks of the season were no where to be found. Tim Connolly when he is on his game is an amazing play maker, too bad he is often injured or taking the night off.
3rd line: Tyler Ennis or Nathan Gerbe, Rob Niedermayer, Mike Grier this might be Buffalo's best line in terms of consistent play. Rob Niedermayer is new to the line but his experience and grit should help Grier free up Ennis or Gerbe to skate the ice.
4th line: Cody McCormick, Paul Gaustad, Patrick Kaleta last year this line became one of the biggest thorns in the side of every other team. They were able to draw penalties from the most disciplined players, and I think most players have come to the conclusion that Kaleta is insane.

Defense: Shaone Morrisonn and Jordan Leopold bring some size and grit to the Sabres blue line both of which were lacking. over the off season Buffalo went from one of the smallest defenses to one of the biggest, the smallest being Andrej Sekera at 6-0 200 and the biggest being Tyler Myers (6-8, 223). Tyler Myers is the key to the defense in the coming year if he can escape the Sophomore slump Buffalo might have its first true top 10 defense men since Mike Ramsey (79-93).

Oulook: Buffalo is in one of the tightest division in sports. Boston and Montreal return virtually unchanged, Ottawa has made some big changes and Toronto might be actually competitive this year. The division will once again produce four playoff teams: Boston, Montreal, Ottawa and Buffalo.

Considering how many players from the Hawks' got sold and shipped off, I do not expect another Stanley Cup. At least that's what logic tells me.

While what remains is still undamaged goods, they're either going to hit it off well, or strike a fat miss and kick themselves in the butt for it. I can only hope we do well this year and don't suffer the embarrassment of utter failure due to sloppy playing and uncoordinated team work. No matter how good half the team may be, it only takes the other half to be mediocre or unstable to make for a bad year.

I saw the Blues Vs. Stars game last week at Fan Fest. Man that was an intense game. I am also going to the Blues Vs. Duck game on Monday for free! Got like seats about 50 feet away from the ice rink but it's at the goal that the Blues only attack once per game but it's cool.

5-3 preseason. That ain't bad. Hopefully they won't be like they were last year.

Haha! I'm a St. Louis fan at heart. Mum's from St. Louis so I became a St. Louis fan.

I wanted to get tickets for the Blues vs. Hawks game on the 3rd , but tickets were too expensive. If only my dad could get me tickets. I wish he got me playoff tickets. :'( He traveled "with" the Hawks during the playoffs. I am so jealous! But he brought me back a couple of Finals towels and some silly Flyers shirts and towels. XDDD

That isn't bad for a preseason and I hope they don't win more away than home like they did last year. ><

The Preds. They ended up losing 4-3, but I'm still happy with them. They are now 2-1. I hope they continue to have a good record.

Hockey schedules always confused me with weird stuff like that... "So okay, this team is going to play three games in four days on the road, have three days off, play the same team they played in their last game as part of three games in three days at home, then two days off, then a road game halfway across the country before three more days off and a home game..."
