My parents go to Vegas once every few years and they love it. Beware, there is a really really scummy side of Vegas that you don't want to be walking along alone at night, but the main strip is pretty safe and it isn't as bad as a lot of people hype it to be like. Anywho, there should be a phone number on the site somewhere. I would call them for more information. Usually, they should be very helpful and can answer all of your questions so give that a try with pricing and whatnot. One of my favorite hotels/casinos is Excalibur only because I love how it's a castle lol

For hitting it big...um...it is really up to chance. :P The best advice is to only bring in a casino what you plan to spend and keep the rest of your cash somewhere that you can't get at. If you end up losing all of your spending money, then stop there. Don't think that you can win it all back because that rarely ever happens. The house always wins in the long run but if you play smart you can walk away with more than you brought. So just keep that in mind =3 Also keep track of what you are spending. Slot machines can gobble up so much money and you can blow so much without noticing it so spread around the casino and try different things, but make sure you fully understand(or at least know the basics) a game before you play it. Oohhh and heres a big one: remember you are there to have fun! Gambling is not a way to make millions. It is for entertainment purposes so if you go in a casino with that mindset you will have lots more fun rather than thinking OMG I lost all of my money >.<

So good luck and have fun! Bring some sunscreen. Theres other fun things to do too if you like roller coaster/thrill rides. My mom went on the Big Shot at the Stratosphere which is like a HUGE giant drop like the one at Six Flags Great America. http://www.vegas.com...ip/bigshot.html

Theres also a roller coaster inside the casino New York New York that is pretty cool too:
http://www.vegas.com...tanexpress.html

This next one I don't even think I would do but it's pretty new and sounds crazy so if you go on it, good luck! http://www.vegas.com...rojectxsky.html

And I'm so jealous if you go to see the Phantom of the Opera! Tickets are $60+
http://www.phantomlasvegas.com/

but I'm sure it is totally worth it. I absolutely love that musical. Take lots of pics and have fun!

Vegas is a lot of fun. Enjoy!

As for winning it big, it is not going to happen in all likeliness. Go there, have fun, and make sure you budget yourself to what you can afford. Like hey I'm only going to lose $100 a day, and then I'm done gambling for the day. And if you do happen to win big, I would suggest taking that money and locking it in the safe in your room and not touching it. Casinos are luck based. Yes you can help yourself by learning some of the math behind the games, but ultimately the odds are always in the house's favor. The only real exception to this may be the poker tables where you play against other people and the house just takes a cut out of every pot you win. Of course if you are not already a good poker player this likely is not an option for you.

Ultimately I suggest you just have fun. Try out a few games you think look cool. Spend time with friends, family, whoever you're going with. And make sure you see the water show outside the Bellagio. The pirate show outside Treasure Island is also cool. And if you're going without much money, the casinos downtown typically have lower limits which will let you play longer. Plus they have this really cool light show at night.

The best way to leave Vegas with a million is to go there with two million. But still, as long as you stay within your limits, gambling is fun--you can always just play the one-armed bandit slot machines if nothing else.

Vegas is awesome. I've been there twice and had a lot of fun. The Mirage is my favorite, though the Rio is cheaper (it's not directly on the Strip). Caesar's Palace has possibly the best shopping in the city, and they have a Virgin Megastore there...which has a HUGE manga/anime section. The only place I've seen more manga/anime at is ACen.

Just be aware of your surroundings at all times. Travel in a large group (or make sure that you move with the sidewalk traffic)--it's the best way to avoid pickpockets. And there are some places in Vegas where you do NOT want to go. The Strip is safe, other than the occasional pickpocket and the godawful traffic on the roads. However, there are places in Vegas that if you wander four or five blocks to either side of the Strip, and you might be taking your life in your hands. (The concierge at the Rio told me not to go to the area of Koval Lane east of the Hard Rock unless I wanted to commit suicide.) It's probably no worse than downtown Chicago.

Oh, and you'll get really tired of all the people handing out ads for "escorts" on the Strip (aka prostitutes). They're literally on every corner, and they often don't take no for an answer. But if you're traveling in a group, you can just ignore them. I went alone and man, try telling some guy who speaks almost no English that you don't want a 2-page newspaper of naked women who want to sleep with you for a low, low price. I finally took the paper just so he'd leave me alone.

^What everyone else said and:

Tips: http://www.homepoker...om/slottips.php
I like to play up to a certain amount and take the winnings ie: $20-> $100. So $80 win.

Blackjack has one of the best odds in the casino.

Yeah, I find its best to just walk past them and ignore them. Its annoying. Personally I've never had any trouble walking alone in vegas, but I'm sure that some of them are more pushy than others.

I loved Vegas when I went. We stayed at Excalibur which was really nice. Budget yourself for each day so you dont lose all your money at once. And if youre going downtown to see the light show, hang on to your purse or bag theres alot of pick pockety type people down there.

Have fun and enjoy!

PS The Cirque De Soleil shows down there are amazing. We saw Mystere and it was phenomenal. We also saw Australian Thunder From Down Under... which is just like Chippendales and that was a lot of fun too.
