Okay why would anyone hold up the Discovery Channel HQ's?

http://www.comcast.n...-USA-DISCOVERY/

I just came across this on my homepage. After reading a bit more of the article I was even more confused....

"He had a history ... of conflict with Discovery," Manger said.

WHAT? Does this guy not like Shark Week or something? So I read on and wow. Just read for yourself. *facepalm*

Lasted around a couple hours, and it apparently ended with the hostage taker being shot dead by police.

XD You and I were on the same wavelength. *requests mod to merge threads*

From the article in my thread:

Quote

Lee -- check him out on MySpace -- is some sort of anti-population-growth radical environmentalist who has clearly gone a bit off the deep end. He's apparently obsessed with the Discovery Channel, whose programming he objects to, and he has a two-year history of regularly protesting outside the network's offices.

Lmao I just saw your thread. Hopefully a mod will merge them. I looked at the recent posts and thought it was weird that the name of my topic changed slightly! XD

I think he was holding them up cuz of not enough coverage about global warming or something. idk. Glad he's dead.

^lols

I've read the articles and apparently he's part of some kinda anti-Human population movement.

"Civilization must be exposed for the filth it is," reads the site, http://savetheplanetprotest.com. "Saving the Planet means saving what's left of the non-human Wildlife by decreasing the Human population. That means stopping the human race from breeding any more disgusting human babies!" it says.

I concur with sentinel. I'm not glad he's dead, and I don't find the situation funny. The protester's cause (lowering world population) isn't a terrible one, but his methods were ill-conceived and his anger is rather extreme. And his last protest was reckless and stupid. So, overall, it's a sad situation.
