Alright, the old Touhou topic got cut from the thread so I am readding it since 12.8 Great Fairy Wars was released today.

I gotta say I am having fun with this one and the art style is great with Makoto Hirasaka doing the art work. I'm having loads of fun!

*Admittedly, Phantasmagoria of Flower View had surprisingly good art, if the drunkard himself actually did the artwork for it. God only knows why he regressed after that.

It's a bullet hell game that the characters featured in them are all female and a large number of them are indeed young girls, many of who look like loli's.

It's fun though if it's your type of game.

Tried Lunatic mode yet Viver? Because if your comparing that to Touhou at it's strongest then obviously you haven't.

Something tells me that you haven't played Ketsui. Ever. Lightning-fast patterns come standard, without having to play some extra-hard mode. Like any superplay video, that guy made it look easy. You'd have to play it to truly understand. And yes, I've played Lunatic mode in Touhou games. I was unaware that it's possible to stay awake playing the Normal or Hard modes.

Tried DoDonPachi on its 2nd loop yet? (After 1-crediting the first loop, of course.) It's a bit more accessible than Ketsui, since it can be emulated. I wish you the best of luck.

...or do you not play "bullet hell" games unless they involve little girls...? In which case, play DeathSmiles on Rank 999 (the rough equivalent of "Lunatic" mode, i.e. the extra difficulty setting they throw in for the super-masochist), then try saying Touhou is hard.

If there's one thing that I can give Touhou credit for, though, it's that it serves as a good "training wheels" series for people interested in the genre. (Although the slow-moving rainbow patterns and cheating death at the moment of impact aren't good to get accustomed to, since the real thing generally doesn't have these.) Also, at least half of the music from the overall series is great, and the other half is at least decent, albeit not quite memorable. (My face when I realize there will never be another Touhou soundtrack on par with Perfect Cherry Blossom's.)
