Hey everyone!

The new year for Acen may be far away but I am here! I am hoping that you will contribute your ideas here and let me know what you would like at the booth in 2011. I will be looking at everyone's ideas. I will also be posting most of our departments ideas. I will be on the forums as much as I can so you can expect feedback from me in a reasonable time frame. Don't hesitate to comment or ask questions. We are here for YOU!

You may be asking yourself "Who are you?" I am Priss & the Department Head of Merchandising for 2011. I am here for the attendees.

Here are a few of my merchandising ideas:

1) Anime Central Folding Asian Fan: for cooling off, among other uses
2) Anime Central Mascot Plushies: because they would be cute
3) Anime Central Elle/Jaye fedoras and Kit fox ears: for cosplay purposes

I'm a huge fan of cell phone charms and metal keychains, so I'd love to have something like that with an ACen logo or character on it.

By the way, I hope this isn't too off-topic to ask here, but I don't really know where else I could ask:

A client of my mother's is trying to unload shipments of lanyards he has no need for, but can't find the right avenue to sell them.
There are approx. 14 thousand of them, if I recall correctly, coming in red, black and blue colors, and including a wallet-like pocket for which a badge, pen, and other small pieces of paper can be stored comfortably.

My question to any of ACen's wonderful staffers is this: Would these lanyards be something that the convention could use/want? I would dearly love to help out both my mother's client and the convention I've come to treasure so much.

I like the plushie idea! And what about stickers with acen logo and such on them. I love stickers and decorating everything I come into contact with, with stickers.

ACEN 2011 styled info cards (aka. business cards) that you can order when you buy the registration badge online. They could be pretty generic with say 5 lines of information the person could input online.

All I want is these things to be brought back/made-
Sweatpants (mine are in need of replacing)
water bottles (I missed this this year, won't next year)
keychains (I want one like burning!)
mousepad(has this been made? idk?)

Have we ever done jackets? Or more like... a hoodie that zips up in the front? I like those cause I can use it in a dry, cool weather atmosphere. (like standing outside in line for anime hell!! xD)

And I really like the folding fan idea Matt brought up

Surprisingly we have done a mousepad. We did them for the 10th year of Acen. They had a USB plug-in and glowed blue.

I would like to see a front zip hoodie. And window clings would be nice.

We have a keychain - or did we might have sold out of them all.

We do have an Acen watch.

I know someone who does keychains, mirrors, zipper pulls, and things like that. She can do them just for Acen. Would things like that interest all of you?

Awesome ideas guys! I have decided that i'm going to have a running monthly tally of all of the ideas that I see here. So far you guys love the mascot plushie and window cling/sticker idea.

I love hoodies. Not the zipper kind though. The ones with the pocket in the front. (I'd get big sizes as well as small. I for one prefer to get them as big as I can.)

I like normal hoodies too, but I could have sworn that they already sold those... (kind of goes alone with the sweat pants, I think...)

Maybe I'm wrong. XD But I'd like both to be available. Cause I'd like more of jacket-like hoodie so I can take it off easily when hot.

Come con travel time we can all get "ACen Or Bust!" flags and form caravans as we encounter each other on the highways...



ACen logoed digital cameras for those who forget theirs... (I was just inspired by a Hello Kitty camera..)


In Japan special decorated phone cards seem to be popular, like with anime and manga characters on them... so how about ACen mascot phone cards?
(Yeah I know... who uses phone cards anymore...)


ACen logoed chair seat covers (disposable) to keep the body paint off the material and keep the hotel cleaning staff happy...

Maybe made to look like bars of soap, or maybe lots and lots of bubbles? One side, or the sole could say "Got Soap" ..?
- Canvas bags!

We have a big canvas bag. We just call it a boat bag. But it's the same- really heavy duty, and fully lined.

So we were talking about this on staff and I thought to ask you guys/gals - do you think Acen is too Navy? As in the color?
If we had Acen shirts in other colors would you buy them?
And in what colors would you like them in?

I am just asking because before we even try any new colors we need to know what you like and what you will buy.

We want to know.

It's a little heavy on the navy IMO, but not /excessively/ navy. Perhaps introduce a couple different shades of blue, and maybe a couple different styles, like athletic-cut mens & v-neck ladies, alongside the standard "man shirt" cut? Maybe a lighter shade of blue like water, or cerulean (liek the crayola color~ ;3)? And some soap bubbles scattered around here and there?

I can whip up a couple rough ideas of what i mean by tomorrow (well, technically later today but i'm tired and slow xD;) & have pics to post of my idea(s) for y'all~

Not sure I'd spring for a "formal" fancy bento box, but a sorta "regular" Japanese style "lunchbox"/set may be of interest.

And ACen chopsticks sound cool. Especially with a carry case/box.

ACen logo/art laptop cases? covers? skins? Something sized for netbooks/e-readers too.

ACen "coutdown" clocks so you know how much time there is left till next ACen!
