Okay I was listening to the radio a few weeks ago to B96's 90s hour (Noon Kaboom) (I Just happened to hear a bunch of 90s music and I had to stop on the station! lol) and this song came on that was so nostalgic. When I was little I stayed at my babysitters house and I remember playing legend of zelda, while she drank La Croix (ew) and this song played. She listened to a lot of Enya but I know this song isn't Enya. It has a male voice going something like "ayyyy ayyy ooohhh aaaaa" and there is a female voice and she sounds celtic and the only lyrics I remember have something to do with gods hands and a fiddler. I can't think of the song, but if someone knows or has any ideas please help!!! I've been trying to think of it for a long time and I have no clue. I was thinking maybe Enigma, but I'm not sure.

Don't you just hate it when you can't remember a song, or it plays on the radio and you absolutely love it and then they don't say the artist at the end!?!? >.<

Nope. That's Loreena McKennitt's "Mummer's Dance."
Here it is.

The verse you're thinking of is

So they linked their hands and danced
Round in circles and in rows
And so the journey of the night descends
Before the shades are gone

A garden gay we bring you here
And at your doorway stand
We bring a sprout that's bundled up
The work of our Lord's hands.

Though with that male voice in the background the way you describe it, it could be "Return to Innocence" by Enigma. You also might be mixing up the songs, or confusing the grinder in the background of "Mummer's Dance" with an actual voice. (McKennitt is the only one who sings on the latter.)

@Sentinel- When I listened to it I thought that was it, but it didn't have that chanting from the male vocal..Maybe what I heard was a remix >.<

@J-I was looking through a lot of songs by Enigma and that one wasn't it, but it is still an interesting song.

Could be. There's about four different remixes of "Mummer's Dance." I've got five different versions of Enya's "Orinoco Flow" on my computer. (One is the original, one is a dance remix, one is Celtic Woman's remix, one is a rave remix, and one is a symphonic version.)

This is why I love Shazam on my Droid. My wallet has been hurting more on iTunes - but no more hours of searching.

BTW - radio stations keep playlists, shoot them an email of the day and rough time and they should be able to hook you up. (That's what I'd do before my droid) GL!

EDIT: Here - http://b96.radio.com...96-noon-kaboom/ looks like it goes back several weeks. Can relisten and see if you get more lyrics. Though it looks like the format IS a constant mix, so ditto on the remix idea above.

2nd edit: Dang if I won't be streaming this a lot... *shakes fist* There goes my productivity!

I have a lot of music ahead of me to listen to XD

Thanks frzndaqiri! I wish I had that app where it will tell you what a song is just by hearing it! Oh technology, how I love thee (when it works! )

Exactly! It was really weird. I was confused at first and checked to make sure it was the right channel!
