I have a bunch of friends and I seem to be the only one willing to book rooms. If I book two rooms at the same time, will they at least be by each other? I really don't mind if they are connected (do they still even do that?) I would just like to know if we'll be by each other or in different parts of the hotel.

Ask them when you order and I don't think it should be a problem. Some still connect, I know because our neighbors tried breaking into ours a few times before my friend and I confronted them.

From my experience with hotels you can always request that they be connected, but it is due to availability upon check-in. At the very least you can request they be beside each other (I've always kept a keycard to both rooms on me when I reserve the rooms) and that is usually a lot more do-able.

Also let's always remember the maximum number of people allowed to a single room as well. :]

it entirely depends on the first come first served basis. In the past when my friends have been in charge of rooms at the Hyatt they have always been able to reserve within hours of the block lift and we always arrived Wednesday or Thursday but still even though we requested connecting rooms when we got there they would always tell us they were unable to fill the request and our rooms would end up on different floors.

This year though Since Ive been on the phone already with them they know what I need once the room blocks lift.

Just keep asking maybe they are now more willing to allow the conjoint rooms I just have not been lucky.

Gosh... How many more "Hotel Topics" will you guys open?! Stop it already! STOP! Arghh!!! Many of these topics are basically the about the same thing and should just be basically under "Hotel Questions" or something like that. The reason why I'm saying this is because on go on this site searching for answers and comments as well about important things and I think that once I go in a specific topic I think I finished searching my answers but then I go into another topic and I find more relative info. under the same topic I just looked under. This is not making things easier for me to search and I just basically wasted time for going into all the "Hotel Topics" even though the title wasn't familiar to my search, finding more familiar questions in all the "Hotel Topics" that should have just been in one specific topic (only if someone edited this site-HINT).
