Anyone have the iPhone 4 yet? Are you experiencing this issue? I'm pretty shocked to hear about signal problems. Apple normally tests their stuff better than this.
Curious to see if it's just the one phone or if other people have seen this happen.

I was at the Northbrook mall today and there were lots of people standing in line outside of the Apple store to get one.
I also saw a lot of people in the AT&T store at Woodfield. I didn't go near the Apple store since I had no reason to head that way.

Apple has admitted that it is an issue with all of them, it is a design flaw with the antenna do to cosmetic reasons. But it can be fixed by shelling out another $30 for a rubber case you can but on your phone.

That sounds more like a band-aid rather than a fix. If I were getting the new iPhone, I'd wait until the next revision is released. It's hard to imagine Apple is going to stick with this phone that has such flaky reception.

I honestly think the iphone is overhyped. :\
When I was at Northbrook mall yesterday, it seemed like every other person my boyfriend and I passed by, had an iphone. Except for the chick who was walking like 0.5mph in front of us in a store while texting on her blackberry because ya know, it's all about her and it's too difficult to look up to see if you may bump into someone. I think whoever she was texting could wait 5 seconds more to receive the text.

Seriously people, even I don't have an iPhone, and I'm on the internet most of the time. When I go out my phone is mostly in my car or something stupid.

I am staying away from Smart Phone's in particular because I don't want my social network to be glued to my hip at all times and I don't need to have the internet at my fingertips at every waking moment of the day. Plus spending money on Apps doesn't work for me since I have no money to spend on such Apps.
My stepdad got a Smart Phone and I've looked at it, it's interesting but I wouldn't shell out the money for one and also for the above reasons posted.
My cousin has had 3 iPhone's stolen or lost, I think she's now using a basic phone...I hope so or I worry about the mentality of my aunt and uncle who keep buying her one...
