For YoumaCon I decided I'm going to do Princess Jasmine from Return of Jafar for the Princess Pajama Party since her outfit kinda looks like pajamas. So I decided I will bring her to ACen.

Anyone else going to do a Disney Princess or a Princess in general that isn't from Disney like Anastasia or Odette?

I'm going to make a list of people and who they are going to cosplay.

I really want to go as Esmeralda from Hunchback of Notre Dame (not really a princess, but she's Disney..), I just feel like a pale Esmeralda would look odd.

Not a Disney princess, technically, but what gathering of princesses would be complete without a Prince Charming? I'll probably go as the Cinderella version at least one of the days.

(Beware: he does tend to end up with multiple women. Oops, I suppose that was a spoiler .....)

I'm sorry but I have to correct your spelling. It's "Briar Rose". I know it's only one letter, but she's my favorite princess and I volunteer perform as her for kids birthday parties so I get a little nit-picky. And her real name is Aurora (just in case you didn't know).

Now that I got that out of my system, are you doing her peasant dress or her ballgown? And if it's the ballgown, will it be blue or pink? No matter what, I can't wait to see it. I'm totally going to this photoshoot, but just to observe. I <3 Disney!!! I'm definitely cosplaying a princess next year.

the reason i spelled it that was is because that is the way its in my daughters princess album because in it is says that she is named after the Brier Rose. Im also doing her peasant dress.

I was referencing the Disney version when I was talking about the spelling, considering this is a "Disney princess" thread, and that spelling is Briar Rose. And depending on what site you look at, the spelling changes. And by the way, the Grimm story is not the original version of Sleeping Beauty. In the original version by Perrault, the name Briar/Brier Rose isn't even mentioned.

Also, if you look at pictures of any Princess Aurora that performs at Disney World, Disney Land, Disney Land Paris, etc, that's how her make-up is done and that's what we based it off of. Go to charactercentral.net and you'll see.

You know you really shouldn't get an attitude with someone over something so stupid and then attempt to insult them without thinking they would say something back. That being said you really should do more research. I have a DISNEY book that lists her name with the faeries as BRIER ROSE...and my cousin was just at disney world last month and had her pictures taken with multiple auroras and NONE of them had BLUE eyeshadow caked on. All looked NATURAL and Not all made up. Make up didnt exactly exist back in the days of the fairytales. And I went to college for Education and my subject of study was Literature so im familiar with the origins of most of the tales to begin with.
