I looked to see if there was a thread like this, but I didnt see any, so here it is! A thread dedicated to fanart.

You can post your own fanart, your favs that you have seen, or talk about anything fanart related(Like brainstorming crossovers, what mediums you usually use, or something youd like to do).

I recall one about arts and crafts but that was some time ago. I'll post my Amigurumi (Yarn) guys once I actually find pics of them ^^;

For some reason, I cannot draw, so I tend to use yarn and hooks to create my fan art. I'd love to make figures as well but I never get past rough body shapes before I give up.

Thats pretty neat! I'm not good at yarnwork, but I used to be loong ago. I'd like to see what you made ^.^ I do alot of fanart from drawings to being colored on the computer, to painting on rocks (havent done that in years though lmao) and pumpkin carving! I try to incorporate anime/manga into a lot of things I do craft wise.

I drew Ryoko from Tenchi Muyo! in a skimpy Santa outfit for my friend this past CHristmas. I think it's pretty alright. A bit rough, but incase I change my siggy here, dis is what it is.

My personal favorite part about it is the subtle kitty cat face.

Aww thats cute! Painting on pumpkins is something my mom does that I suck horribly at. I'm not good at painting lol

The only bad thing about using pumpkins is that they rot and you have to throw them out ;___; Even though theres craft pumpkins, its not the same. I like the smell lol

@Kirby- Nice work but for some reason I see Ryoko as an amputee with holly berries as leg nubs. You cant tell me that isnt funny! XD

Yeah I've been meaning to do a ine of Kirbys as well but I have no motivation or drive of any sort. Plus sometimes I get flustered and just say F this. Many a sketch has been abandoned because of this.

I do a lot of fanart--mostly Inu-Yasha and Evangelion, but with some other stuff thrown in. I haven't done any Tenchi stuff in a long time, but here's Sasami.

I have almost all my fanart in the folder with that name on my DA page (either click on the link above or the one in my sig), though if you can't get that for some reason, you'll have to just work your way through my stuff. A lot of it is ACen cosplay pics too, so it probably won't bother you.

A bit of a warning...I do love the female form, so some of the pics may be NSFW. Nothing too nasty; mostly just pinup cheesecake. But not to worry! All models are 18 or over.

I cannot draw. I will not even try to feign any talent in that area.
I am however in possession of an extensive collection of fanart from various things ranging from anime, manga, comics, books, etc. All of which have been collected over several years. Thank you, thank you, thank you 'NASbox' with 2 TB drives in RAID 1 configuration. Words cannot describe what would happen to the lives and property around me if I ever lost it.

-^.^- Thank you. It makes me happy that other people enjoy them as much as I do because it takes roughly 10 hours of dedication in a cold garage(from planning where to carve, making the pattern, to taking out the pulp and "skinning" it...not to mention choosing the right pumpkin! ^.^)

And I usually dedicate the pumpkin to whatever I'm really into at that point of time. I'm not entirely sure what my 2010 pumpkin will be but I have pleeenty of time to think about it. *Crap I forgot I procrastinate...better start thinking about it now before its too late!!!!*

I used to make fan art for my local library's anime club. Two things keep me from sharing them on here though. I do not know how to make a link & I don't have any good pictures of them. I wish I did though, my Lina Inverse in her frilly dress painted cell, was to die for, people fought of it & begged to by it or get a commission of it. I ended up having to get a sort of guard for it while it was showed at the library.

You could upload it to photobucket or flikr or facebook and copy the link and post it on here. I'd really like to see it! ^.^ Too bad you didnt do my fav characters from that show (Naga and Zel <3). If you still have the picture you could scan it if you have a scanner or if you have to take pictures of it heres a quick tip on taking photos of photos (lol that sounds funny) Make sure the photo is flat and is on a plain colored (preferably dark background or black piece of paper) background and that it is in a bright room. Also you can change your camera to a "close up" setting which helps. Try taking a bunch of photos of it and upload them and use a simple editor to change the brightness if needed. If you dont have any of these disregard this ^.^;;;;;

All my work is black and white or shades. I am color retarded when it comes to coloring in a drawing so I just don't bother with it. I had a phase where I drew a lot of Monkey's for a friend...
