downtown chicago lit fest 2010 this weekend!

then, you're probably, like,totally literate! you might want to check out the literacy festival
next weekend in downtown chicago, on dearborn street! info:

last year they had neil gaiman! this year, they have tons of chicago-native authors and things like that! book drives, discussions, author Q&As! it's gonna be pretty rad! anyone else even slightly interested in checking this out? oh, yeah, the event is totally free. there are a few events and booths that require tickets, but those are free to reserve online as long as you do it before the actual event.

words? yay! go, books!

I heard Daniel Clouds is supposed to be there.

i think it is, but i also think there'll be tents or some kind of cover.
also, it's downtown, so there are plenty of buildings if it's just a light drizzle. i think a few of the events are held inside the library, too.

besides, rainy days are when i get most of my reading done. the only real true nemesis of books is television.
