First off this is not the topic for 'oh its so bad for you', 'oh i hate the smoke outside the hyatt' etc etc

So, I'm sitting here smoking a CAO Moontrance and thought I would see what other people here enjoy a relaxing cigar every now and then.

Personally CAO has always been my brand of choice :]

What does everyone else like?

As far as Cigarillos go I smoke Blackstones which are horid but they are good for a quick stop. As for actuall cigars my choice is Punch the real ones not the ones from Honduras. In terms of size I usually keep Churchill for when I have lots of time, Corona and Margarita on hand.

For some odd reason I always pictures Alkaren a cigar smoker. Cause he's from Texas. lol.

I don't smoke myself at all. I've sat down with my father and had a cigar before. Alright, I guess.

My old neighbour smokes these REALLY cheap cigars outside all the time, so his house usually reaks of them really bad. They smell awful.

I've never smoked anything ever before but my fiance used to smoke cigars...I forgot what they were called but the smelled pretty darn good but supposedly tasted nasty. Black and Milds? Something like that. I have no clue lol

I've never heard of CAO--do they smell nice?

I don't smoke, but my mom smokes those Black & Mild wine-flavored cigarillos ( she's such a noob--she started smoking at age 40!); they smell OK--kind of incense-y.

Thats gotta be those then. I was trying to think of what they were called and they are veeery distinct in smell. Honestly I love how they smell. Maybe they have an incense in that scent :D

The Black and Mild grape smell pretty bad but are pretty decent.

The wine are definitely the best smelling though xD

I've actually purchased an incense that is very similar in scent, but it was at a record store called the "Crows' Nest" that went out of business. I used to be heavily into incense, but after it closed down I got depressed because I couldn't find the same quality anywhere else around.

That suucks! I hate when good places go out of business. I really love incense because it for one obviously smells great and it also gets rid of odors like catfood/litter boxes. Dragons Blood is one of my favs that you can find. Do you know the name of the scent?

Dragon's Blood is pretty classic. It's a nice scent as far as body oils go too.

Geez, it's been like 5 years! ^_^;; I don't remember for sure, but it was some custom name with "wine" in it, and there were three like that--"Brandywine", "Wine and Lotus", and "Spiced Wine". I think it may have been the third one, though.

I have a hippie shop near me! They have polished-stone rings (which I love), cool pagan stuff, and this super-awesome amethyst geode that I just like to admire sometimes. They have incense too, but only half the selection that Crows' Nest had.

(Sorry Alk--we accidentally derailed your thread...)

Oh, I have a souvenir pack of Seneca cigarettes I got from a trip to Missouri once. It used to be full, but my ex got desperate in a nicotine fit once and smoked them--and then complained about how awful they were!

The moontrances smell awesome. Moontrance

While I could do without the picture there, the description says it all. It reminds me of Camel's Back Alley Blend cigs they used to sell *way* back in the day.

Now when I think of cigarillos I don't really think of things like black & mild, swisher, etc :/

My man on IRT up there knows what I'm talking about, though I'm not really surprised.

As to jguy, I've been smoking cigarillos for a minute...but they're best for very infrequent smoking.

A nice CAO, a good glass of whiskey, cognac, and some nice texas air on a summer night. You just can't get much better than that.

My friends and I have enjoyed a nice moontrance out in the country many a-times out in the fields and open plains of texas.

There's nothing more southern (and relaxing!) than a good stogy on a nice summer night listen to the wilderness my dear

Black and Mild sounds nice, although I've never smoked a cigar or cigarillo in my life.

Except for a few puffs in Florida. That was a Cuban cigar, and it didn't blow my mind or anything.

My friend just got back from France and brought me back some Pink Elephants.
They're cigarettes, but interesting tasting nonetheless.
And pretty. :3

Ah they are flavored, I heard of the CAO brand but not Moontrance. I'm not big on the whole flavored cigars it just isn't natural. It is like putting limes in beer or elephants on tricycles.

Well anyone that puts fruit in beer should be slapped anyway.

And the moontrances I smoke are the 'petite cigarillos' or whatever. Though the flavoring isn't really that strong at all - at least I don't taste it too heavily. But they smell soooo nice...in a cigar sort of way.

But CAO is a quality brand if you're looking for smokes in general, flavored or otherwise... plus you can't beat a hand rolled smoke.

So I bought a tin of Moontrance and I am impressed. Usually flavored cigars are low quality tabacco but these really are not. The flavor is light ring size and length are perfect. I also grabbed some other CAO products: all Toro sized (6x50) the very full flavored Lx2, the medium full Mx2, the medium Maduro and the mild Cameroon. The Lx2 was too strong for me, the Mx2 would be ok for an occasional smoke, the Maduro would make a good drinking cigar and the Cameroon is a good normal cigar.

Romeo and Julieta is the way to go for cigars and I actually really like the clove cigarette replacements that Djarum makes. They come in little cigarillo 10 packs, they're smooth as silk and have that delicious clove flavor.
