Hi! My name is Melissa. I am a first-time con attendee, so hopefully 2011 will be the first of many awesome times! I'm kind of an anime newb, the only ones I am familiar with are Sailor Moon, Chobits, and Detective Conan. I was really surprised to see that a con was held so close to home, and a bit disappointed that I didn't know about it sooner! I am 21, going to graduate with a degree in Medical Assisting in September of this year, and hoping to work as an EEG Technician. I have epilepsy, but I try not to let it get me down. It is, after all, the thing that made me choose my career path. Besides anime, I like reading, writing, voice acting, and horseback riding.
Yeah, I kind of fail at "introduce yourself!" type posts, but I tried! xD

Yay Detective Conan! Great, great series. I have read the first 8 manga volumes (in English), but stopped because the habit was becoming far too expensive. D: I wish they had it at the library or something! Or I might just have to spend the day at Borders and read them all. ^^
Hah, I guess you could call me a soldier in the fight against online awkwardness! ...Or something along those lines.
