I have a lot on my list for this month on Christmas break. School has prevented me from watching a lot of anime, but I know I'm going to finish all of Rurouni Kenshin and Kuroshitsuji (hopefully in the beginning of break Kuroshitsuji will be done and a lot of Kenshin). And for sure this month my goal is to watch Angel Beats!, Gunslinger Girl, watch the Evangelion movies, start Ouran High School Host Club and finally start Gurren Lagann. It's a lot but I'm going to do it for sure. :D Ah, I love breaks. XD

My recommendation: Prioritize Gurenn Lagann above those others. That show is somethin' else!

Let's see, just finished Antique Bakery and Stein's Gate. Also watched a few episodes of Utena, but despite all the hype, I really didn't care for it. I'm now watching No. 6 per recommendation from an interesting guy at Youmacon, and so far so good! Up next for me is my second attempt to watch Star Driver... (my 1st attempt at watching the 1st episode left be bewildered).

Recently finished Fushigiboshi no Futagohime. For a children's magical girl anime, it was pretty good. A lot of fun characters, and the story took a darker turn than I would have expected in the second half.

Next up: Planetes

Hmmm, been slowing down a bit now that the new TV season is on, and I'm otherwise a bit busy with other things, but have managed to get through:

Ah! My Budda collection (a bit of a boob-fest, but did learn about the ritual doll-burning ceremony)

Legend of the Galaxy Railways (one gets tired of these "everybody dies things after a while...)

Legend of Crystania (a collection of the movie and OVAs - actually a re-watch as I'd viewed it years ago)

Lucky Star (you gottta have seen Haruhi Suzumiya and Full Metal Panic series first to catch many references)

Outlaw Star collection

Sol Bianca Legacy (was okay I guess...)

Strike Witches ("1st season")

Summer Wars

Shuffle! (do all girls have multiple psychotic personalities? Are all boys *really* utterly clueless idiots?)

More to come, of course...

Let's see, last semester at anime club I paid attention only to Moribito Guardian of the Spirit, since I had already seen the prior main showings, Spice and Wolf and Durarara!, and the preshowing didn't interest me (Level E). This semester, we're watching Squid Girl which doesn't interest me, and I'm paying attention to Katanagatari and Arakawa Under the Bridge. Already watched Mawaru Penguindrum, which was excellent.

In my free time, still going at it w. D-Gray Man, around 1/3 finished, finished watching G-Gundam which was okay, starting to watch the new Natsume Yuujinchou which is again very good. Also watching Usagi Drop and Bodacious Space Pirates with a group of friends.

Well I can list a few more items that I've finished:

The Mars Daybreak series

and I rewatched the Xenosaga series. The OP and ED themes keep running through my head.

I even forced myself to watch the whole Haruhi Suzumiya "Season 2" including ALL of the "Endless 8" episodes (Hint: you can skip at least 4 of them [middle ones] and still get pretty much the whole story). gaaah.

Anime:
Puella Magi Madoka Magica - I keep hearing a lot of good about it so I'll check it out. It's short too, which is nice.

Another

Evangelion...I just need to learn where to start

Mawaru Penguindrum - same with PMMM except I don't know how short or long it is.

Sasameki Koto - which is one I've been saying I'm going to start when things settle down irl but that's yet to happen so it keeps getting pushed further and further back.

My brother also bought me Twilight of the Dark Master for Christmas so I'll get on watching that too.

Manga:
I already started NANA and I really want to finish it. Hey, maybe I'll find some more copies at ACen.

Yotsuba

Finish the second GITS manga I bought.
"Ayy, what it do?"
"You called me. You tell me what it does."

Polished off Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya (movie).

Also:

Destiny of the Shrine Maiden series

Samurai Champloo series

Spice & Wolf season 1

Rewatched last part of Mai-Hime/Otome so I could dive into My-Hime/Otome Zwei (talk about character deja vu) and My-Hime/Otome 0

Starting to glaze over...

And I have MORE sitting here.

Well, I had another surge of DVD viewing.

Have just done the classic:

Crest of the Stars
Banner of the Stars I
Banner of the Stars II

(which was a re-watching of the series as it's been a while since I saw it last)

And finishing up Tide-Line Blue, which I suspect few have ever even heard of...

(Also have watched live-action Wushu movie which isn't anime but is a decent insight into martial arts schools and cultural philosophy in current day China. Best watched subbed.)

I got genuine Princess Mononoke DVD. Just watched it (again) about 6 weeks ago. May be willing to loan out. If I haven't misplaced it... again...

And if you want expensive DVD sets, Fate/Zero recently released for a mere $495 list (no that's not a typo).

Well, now just finished Avenger. One of those that seems to start in the middle of something and ends before you can figure out what's happening. And not sure what was accomplished by the characters...

Well...

I bought the CD soundtrack albums from His and Her Circumstance (KareKano/Kareshi Kanojo no Jijou), got addicted to the opening and ending themes, and figured it must be worth watching...

So I'm just getting to the last episode of the anime series now...

Better than I expected. I figured it would be some "girlie" tsundere thing that would as usual resolve itself in the last 10 minutes of the series... but was pleasantly surpised when that whole arc was over and finished within the first two episodes. Then it covered the "what now" part of what comes after such a relationship takes off. Granted there is a lot of wasted time with "rehashes," odd sequences of watching traffic signals cycle, and filler episodes, but all in all not bad.

Spoiler
