Outside of the current season and remaining shows from last season I am out of new anime to watch. Last season I passed the 700 completed series/movie mark.

Just finished Clamp School Detectives.

Kinda lame.

But better than watching the clowns in Washington DC.


Also checking out live action (TV series) Witchblade to see how it stacks up against comic and anime version. (not too well actually... but no surprise there...)

I know how you feel, I'm so behind in Naruto, but that's because I was horrible and totally forgot about it since CN doesn't play it, and Disney XD plays it at 11pm on saturdays. I just finished the fifth season of Shippuden today. Plus, I missed so much in the original because I kept missing episodes when it was on Cartoon Network, so I was clueless. The last I remember seeing was the chunin exams (lame, right?). But if you catch up, nobody'll ever know.

Started watching Clannad.
Oh my god.
It was the most boring anime I may have ever watched for more than 2 minutes. Got through five episodes, and gave up.
Every character is a watered down moe stereotype, and Tomoya had absolutely no personality at all.

So I started Honey and Clover. It's pretty interesting so far, if not a little weird.

Hmm, I had recently been considering Clannad, but after reading the summary I wasn't so sure. Felt it could just be a dud. Sounds like I was right.

I just finished watching Evangelion 1.01: You Are (Not) Alone, and it was pretty good. There was a nice balance between action, plot development and character development, and Shinji didn't seem quite as continuously traumatized (still self-pitying and afraid, though). Plus ... fan service! It wasn't very arousing, but it was fan-service, nonetheless . I've only watched the subtitled version so far, and I thought that the voice-acting was top-notch. It was also nice to hear much of the music from the TV series. The new angel designs were very creative, and the

was appropriately suspenseful.

Next up, over the weekend: Evangelion 2.22: You Can (Not) Advance and The Girl Who Leapt Through Time. And I plan on watching the final volume of Excel Saga by the end of the month.

Got through the first 1/4 of Full Metal Panic. Not horrible but I'm waiting for that moment that comes out at me, smacks me in the face, and gets me a nerd boner for the series.

The panty scene was probably the closest so far but that's so overdone that panty shots annoy me more than phase me.

Watching penguim drum.

Its a cross between weird, funny, and serious. I can't describe it, you have to see it yourself.

Was watching Monster, even though I read the whole manga, and will once I get another computer. I consider Monster one of the best series and 210% better than Death Note. Its a realistic suspense and the only anime that I enjoyed all the characters, even the bad guys. No aliens, no shinigami, no lame powers or homolust, just mindscrew.

a lot of mindscrew. Volume 10-11, dunno what episode, blew my mind. I had to reread it and try not to say 'he pulled a bridget.'

One anime I can't get into is Sekirei. I thought about watching it, but it's the typical 'big chested all girl on guy.' harem plot that's been going on since OMG! and Tenchi, the staple of seinen and shonen today. rather see a reverse, but those are rare or yaoi only.

Next is Natsume's Book of Friends; I heard that was good.

Shinji refused to kill the Angel that held Asuka captive, and when he rescued Rei from the Angel that held her captive. He seemed more heroic than he did in the TV series, and it's nice for him to have a purpose, such as pursuing a relationship with Rei.

The Girl Who Leapt Through Time was excellent. I especially liked the lessons about respecting a person's feelings and not trying to alter time/destiny.

I love Wolf's Rain, it's fabulous with lots of twists and turns. I like an anime that isn't completely predictable. As of the moment, I'm at a loss as to what to watch next, and have been reading this thread for suggestions. I'm a fan of Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, Wolf's Rain, and the like. I also enjoyed Claymore, Spice and Wolf, and Saiunkoku Monogatari but the storylines got a bit repetitive for me. Any recs? Thanks!

It is far more worry some if you walk away saying that you understood it perfectly. Gainx has said that there are parts that have no meaning.

I have been rewatching the Tenchiverse, the orginal two OVAs and the rest of the properties that Geneon had hold up really well, other then the dubs. The two parts that Funimation have really do not and kinda suck.

If you want an unexpected series, try xxxHoLiC or Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles (same story, different point of view) but it kind of goes off from the mangas, so if you want start with that. I haven't gotten to xxxHolic, but I started Tsubasa.

The story is mostly aimed on romance though, it's action/adventure with romance dominating over that slightly. The main characters are in love, and that's why the adventure starts.

I just finished Madoka; loved it, and see that there is a new anime called Blood C, supposedly following themes of Blood the Last Vampire and Blood+. Checking that out next.

I've been watching "Toriko" and "Sket Dance" which I'm all caught up in, but I'm also working on "Nana" and "Honey and Clover". Oh, I'm also watching the Funimation dub of "One Piece".

I also saw both of the new Eva movie and I was shocked not only on how much I didn't hate it but how much I liked it! They were amazing, well the 2nd one was the first was just okay.

I just started watching "Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei", which even though I've only seen five episodes, I highly recommend it if you have a sense of humor.

Going to start "Baccano!" (I keep saying that, and then I get distracted by another show...) and try to catch up in "One Piece".

@skyrune83: Kudos on choosing to watch Star Driver and Antique Bakery- both are extremely enjoyable for different reasons, and I highly recommend both.

As for my list... currently finishing up on Serei no Moribito at the anime club, watching Mawaru Penguindrum on my own, along with D-Gray Man and G-Gundam. With my friends we're watching Nichijo, which I'm finding not as entertaining as others since I have a dry sense of humor. Also they're watching the new Hunter X Hunter at the insistence of one friend, a show I'm finding really boring. Thankfully another friend there suggested watching Usagi Drop, something that I'll continue watching even if they don't.
