Well I have been busy since end of con.

Finished:

Legend of Lemnear - okay story but felt like it was an excuse for showing boobs

Legend of the Last Labyrinth (Princess Rouge) - I'm guessing it was a school class project thing (in Japan). Incomplete for that reason.

Lost Universe - Based on an alternate Slayers universe. A fair story, but is a really good example for the sub vs dub thread arguments about really really BAD dubs. I got a big clue when I noticed at least one of the English version voice actors listed themselves as "George Spelvin," which is a name used by actors who don't want their own name used. 'nuff said.

Kekko Kamen - Came as part of a bundle pack. The less said the better. Yes it involves boobs. And more. Not to be taken seriously.

Venus Versus Virus - <sigh> I get rather tired of these "Divergence Eve" type stories where in the end the main characters cease to exist and vanish from everyone's memory...

Just starting Planetes - good so far and I like some of the touches of humor (like what that temp worker is *really* wearing under her plain smock/dress...) Some parts are pretty lame though too. Mixed. We shall see.

And yes, for the first time in my life I have a DVD on pre-order. A little something called Panty & Stocking...

I'm not even sure what to put on my next to watch list.

I'm finishing up Mirai Nikki and Persona 4 the Animation and Rewatching Neon Genesis Evangelion (series. movies, rebuild) for the 6th time . I never get tired of Eva.

Alot of Anime that is out today just isn't so appealing to me anymore, it's either nothing but boobs, moe bull crap or just really uninteresting, I tired K-on, I couldn't make it past the opening, I watched to-love ru the 2nd season was garbage, Rosario + Vampire , The Animated Adaptation was horrible to me. I'm mostly looking for older series to watch or rather really obscure titles, Like

Actually I'm currently watching Best Student Council. I'm 17 episodes in. It's funny, it's charming, it's entertaining. Is it as good as School Rumble or Azumanga Daioh, not quite, but close. Still if you want to have a really good time with an anime, this one is definitely worth the watch.

Yesterday I rewatched Summer Wars, I absolutely love that movie, and if any of you have never seen it, than you need to stop, and go get it! You won't regret it.

In the last few weeks I've watched a few anime's. Right before Best Student Council I saw the entire Gunslinger Girl series, including the OVA's. Before that I watched Kanon, twice. What I mean is that I watched Kanon with both dubs, watching each episode twice before moving on to the next. A little crazy, but Kanon is very high on my list, so I absolutely still loved it as much as I did the first time. Before that I watched the 2 episode OVA Puni Puni Poemy, and that one left me all dizzy with it's craziness.

If you watched Kanon / I assume you mean Kanon 2006 right? Not the first Animation ? But even so if you liked that Studio Key did another one called Air tv which is even more heart wrenching than Kanon and the 3 main females of Kanon make a cameo appaerance in Air tv . Plus since you like Monica Rial so much she is the voice of the main female Misuzu Kamio

Recently been watching Hikaru no Go (for the umpteenth time). Between "Hikaru no Go Day" (5/5) and the first anniversary of Tomoko Kawakami's death coming up, I was suddenly feeling nostalgic, and since I practically have it memorized anyway, it's good background noise while I work on things. Might rewatch Chrono Crusade as well. Also saw that Tactics was on Hulu, so maybe once I can pay more attention I'll finally check that one out (all I know is that it's by the person responsible for Mythical Detective Loki - anyone have an opinion on this one?).

Other than that I've been keeping up with Tsuritama, Sket Dance, and Kids on the Slope.

I don't know what it is. maybe I'm just an old soul, a majority of the new anime today just isn't appealing.

I have Air, I love Air, but sorry Kanon is so much better, my opinion. I do love the show, and I love Monica's performance, but to me Kanon was the much better story, and yes, sorry I forget, but that is indeed Kanon 2006. I think the original is hard to find retail, I would love to see it, but it seems hard to find

No doubt, Kanon will make you shed a lot of tears.

Just finished Best Student Council. Great stuff, loved it, not quite as good as School Rumble or Azumanga Daioh, but pretty darn close. Highly recommended.

I finished Mirai Nikki yesterday. It was pretty good, I'm 2 eps away from Persona 4 the Animation and..I'll go back to more oldschool shows because nothing new seems interesting. I might start Gun Smith Cats or Robotech the Macross Saga
