Summer 2010 chart
Summer 2010 chart is out what are you looking forward to seeing.
The only two shows that I am interested in are Shiki and Seikimatsu Occult Gakuin. I'll be honest Seikimatsu Occult Gakuin is a reserved interest,

Oh, dear, a new season of Digimon....as someone who got introduced to anime through Digimon, I'm a bit frightened...especially since the last two seasons were kinda flops...*didn't even really bother with the 5th one...*

Legend of Legendary Heroes (Redundant title is redundant) looks interesting...Highschool of the Dead...and maybe Shukufuku no Campanella and Nurarihyon no Mago...

I'll give High School of the Dead a shot since I like zombie flicks but nothing else really interests me in the summer line up...that's ok, I got catching up to do.

I love how they mostly admit that the new Digimon has no plot, it's just meant to promote the new toys.

Let's see here... I'll be watching the following:

Highschool of the Dead, Seikimatsu Occult Gakuin, Sengoku Basara, Shi Ki, Nurarihyon no Mago, Legendary Heroes, Amagami SS, Ookamisan to Shichinin no Nakamathchi, Mitsudomoe, Strike Witches 2, Asobi ni Iku Yo, Seitokai Yakuindomo, and Shukufuku no Campanella.

I'm looking forward to Strike Witches, Highschool of the Dead, Mitsudomoe, and Amagami SS the most, though. ~

As far as Digimon is concerned, the only seasons that exist are the first two. Anything that comes after that, I'll plug my ears and 'lalalalala' right the **** through it.

So I all ready watched Ookami-san to Shichinin no Nakama-tachi (Mr. Wolf and the Seven Friends) well at times it can be funny it just seemed to try too hard to be funny. At times the writers said "we haven't had a joke in a while put one in now" despite the fact that a joke at that point in time made no sense.

I just saw that there is more Kurenai starting on the 2nd, that makes me happy.

Ookami-san episode 01 was pretty good. I mean, it's basically Toradora season 2...

definitely the best new series i've seen this year.

The Tatami Galaxy was the best show of Spring 2010 the only other one that was close was its sister show House of Five Leaves. Of course the oddds of either of the series getting a N/A physical media licinces is small, it would be nice if Funi could come to terms on a DTO agreement as part of its noitaminA agreement. The one person I am pushing at every con I staff to bring in as a guest is Masaaki Yuasa.

Ookami-san I'll likely keep watching as I like the main girl..or rather I like her outfit and the (metallic?) cat-gloves of her's

Seitokai Yakuindomo is pretty random in the first episode but appears to be another one of 'those' kind of shows, but I guess we'll have to wait and see if it is or not. But it is harem directional it looks like.

Shukufuku no Campanella i'm going to reserve judgement on until more of it comes out, but like the others seems like another fanservice show.


Le sigh. I sometime miss watching anime - but then again I also miss the days before everything was fanservice or harem. :[

Amagami SS -- This what happens when you do not bother to adapt a game to an anime, and you just copy it. The story is several individual arcs each dealing with one character. It is based on a 2009 PS2 dating sim and it watches just like you would play one, minus the interaction. Well this format might be great for a game it is really bad for an anime, to much stuff happens in one episode and no real ability to get into the show. If you were a fan of the game you might like it but beyond that check out KimiKiss it was far better with a similar story line.

well, i read somewhere during the streaming run that it's official been licensed by funi, so there's definitely a chance it'll get an official dvd release.

I'm in the process of watching high school of the dead and I'm pretty uninterested already.

And the OP isn't even over.

I understand nerds dig the whole zombie thing and fanservice but you'd think they'd try to make a show about more than that.

This is yet another show I would have stopped watching in the first few minutes if slap law hadn't been invoked. :/

edit: yep. Zombies and ridiculous fanservice is all it is.
