I'm stumped on what my Final Fantasy cosplay should be. I want to do a villain, and I also want to do a named character. The problem is these are dra characters I want to do: FF7= Biggs, Joe, Shin-Ra Soldier Officer. FFX= Warrior Monk, Ropp. So you see all dra named characters I want to be aren't villains.

I'll be coming as Black Waltz 2 from FF9 again! Hopefully this year I can get someone to watch my table in the Artist's Alley and come to the photo shoot. XD Also, I need to find something to improvise with the black mage face. My friend brought black face paint and it looked good at first, but after a day's worth of...convention going, my friend made the comment I looked like the housekeeper from Tom and Jerry. so NOT going to do the face paint again. Worse comes to worse just wear a black scarf around my mouth and nose, or not do anything at all. Not sure yet, but if anyone has any suggestions on the topic, by all means!

I always love the FF7 and AC costumes, so looking forward to seeing all of you guys! XD

Have you tried using a theater grade makeup? Such as Ben Nye? I have used their makeup before and it works miracles! I painted half my upper body and it lasted all day even in harsh heat. You need to get the makeup remover otherwise you wont be able to remove it all.

Anyway, so besides my wig help I needed a couple pages back, I'm wondering what to do with my sword.

I'm cosplaying as Miss Cloud/Wallmarket-Cloud/Cloudette/Cloudia(you get it at this point right?) and yes, i want my buster sword!

I'm 5'2-ish, I doubt I hit 5'3 though but I want the sword to be accurately scaled to my height. My friend thinks when compared to me, it shouldn't need to be more than 4 feet long. But 4 feet seems...awfully short. I was actually thinking 4 and a half if anything.

What do you guys think?

LOL, here I am replying to you again because I'm also around 5'3" and making the Buster. I think we're inadvertently twins. Aren't you on my fbook, too? xD

Anyway, I'm making the Buster about 5 feet because it looks much more menacing that size. I've made a test run with insulation foam and it doesn't look odd at 5 feet since my boots add on an inch and my tall VII Cloud hair will add another few inches ROFL. However, if you feel 4 1/2 feet looks better on you, then go with that. It's really not that short. Try making a foam or cardboard test sword to see what I mean.

Oh and do read back to the 2nd page. I offered some help on the wig. :P

Ah, yes, I do remember the response before, sorry I didn't respond though>.< But it was really due to the fact I was asking for a wig to be used as a base wig. Without that, I can't take advice on the styling just yet

My friends and I will be doing a small Final Fantasy XIII group consisting of me as Fang, a vanille, Lightining, and Hope. We will also have a random Rude with us ^w^

And btw for all the Sazh cosplayers, I so want Photos with you! He is by far my fave Male in the game... Besides Hope, but then I just feel like a Pedo XD And I already told my Vanille I would so leave her for a Sahz if I had the chance XDDD

Have you considered trying a black hood, like a balaclava, or a black mask/hood combination? Ive found the combination of balaclava and mask to work out great.

If there are enough FF9 cosplayers next year, Ill try to bring Freya again.

Oh yeah no thats totally fine! We are doing XIII for the official shoot but we are also planning a private one as well since my friend has a super nice nikon~ When the con gets closer just hit me up the a Serah time span XD And we will all work something out!
