Hello my fellow Forum-ites! It's June 1st and Summer has officially started! For those of us who go to school its break time, time to get part time jobs or to relax and spend each day doing what you want to do, and for those of us who are working for a living its a time for us to make plans on how to enjoy our weekends and when to take time off. What plans do you have for this summer?

I am planning on doing as much swimming this year as possible! The past 4-5 years have been busy for me and I haven't even reached the double digits in the number of times I've gone swimming in those past 4-5 years. This year I plan to retouch my coastal roots and go swimming! I am looking into getting a pool pass at a district pool to do regular swimming and also making plans to go to water parks with friends. I need to work on my summer tan before the sun disappears behind autumn clouds.

About the same as Hyralt. A couple Conventions ((Dragoncon and Colossal)) then going to the beach with some Cosplay buddies of mine in August.

Work, work, work. Produced based grocery stores thrive in the summer sun, and thusly I must be locked within their bowels during the day and then slink home at 11pm to play videogames or something.

I have plans to take my wife to a Rush concert on our wedding anniversary and perhaps to visit friends in Wisconsin during July and Minnenapolis during August. So summer will be a slow riding but fair beast who shall grant dreams and wishes, but at a small price.

Oh and saving up to get back into college. Not much time and so much money to raise.

Akon right? If so have fun. Im going to Niagara Falls on June 24-27. Originally the plan was to go to Niagara Falls, then go to downtown Toronto the next. But there will be a G4 summit there so there goes Toronro. I may be going to Las Vegas and NYC as well.

I would hope that you a visiting the ON side of the falls (which is technically not Niagara Falls) the NY side is really bad.

Work work work. I work 40 hours a week, 6 days a week and yet I'm still part-time. Stupid retail.

I will be lucky if I get any time off for conventions because I can't get weekends off. I got lucky with ACen because we hired a new person just in time.

Other than work, I dunno what I will be doing over the summer. Maybe hang out with friends.

Working at my part time job, and school. There's a Maroon 5 concert in August I want to try going to. I don't really have much money to do really awesome things. I haven't made a single friend at school yet either, so I really only have 1 person I can hang out with. Really hope I can make some friends soon. ;_;

I know Indy is deserving of its Naptown nickname but there are some interesting groups there. I'm not sure if they are still active but I knew of some fairly big euro board game groups in the area, if you are interested in that kind of stuff.

See a ton of movies.
Go to the Japan Fest in Arlighton Heights at the end of June.
Go to G-Fest the weekend after 4th of July.
Go on a trip some where.
Go to the Drum Festival at Mitsuwa in Arlington Heights.
Maybe hit some of the Japanese Garden festivals at Fabyan Japanese Gardens out near Geneva,IL.

I do have plans to go to the rest of the Cards-Cubs games at Wrigley and go to the Cubs-Brewers game on August 3rd for my boyfriend's birthday, which is August 6th. I wasn't able to get the August 6th tickets, so the 3rd will have to suffice.

This year, I'm going to the beach to actually swim. For the last 2 years, each time I went, the lake was closed. This year, I'm gonna get in that water. I also want to visit the underclassmen at my high school before school lets out.

Moar sulking due to the fack my dang pool is STILL not open, it keeps storming when I try to get my car cleaned, and there's no one out here to go do stuff with.

hopefully babysitting a lot... i am not in the mood to work a seasonal job, nor am i really in the mood to work retail right now. may apply for college again or wait till after summer, sometimes a broke summer can be fun.

getting puppy, sadly the one we were to pick up this week had died over memorial day weekend of parvo. it was a sad weekend for us. i lost my golden in april, then i lost my puppy before she could even come home. if possible though i may take a trip out to help the shelter on their clean up day, though its a 14 hour round trip...

i will also be working on the house a bit with my mom and dad, we are slowly getting this place to look like a home. pictures are getting hung up, my toilet seat is getting replaced (thing snapped in half, been holding together with tape for 4 months now) clean up the basement, work on some furniture. install some new floating shelves for my figures and other trinkets.

set up play dates for my dog and the dog next door. i can go on and on but thats the jist of it.
