it reset all my read posts. Now when I click first unread post, it takes me to the start of the thread. Maybe I'll just do a mass marking of all forums read and start anew...

Other than that, I'm fairly indifferent to the new look and layout. I do like the tab up top that takes you right to the con homepage. I also think the calendar could be a very useful tool as well if used properly. The recent posts in the upper right hand corner is a nice little addition as well. A lot of people will also likely enjoy the push to make the forums look and feel more like a social networking site.

One thing I've never liked about this version is the fact that everything looks so much bigger than before, the boards take up so much more room laterally on the page.

Other than that, great work! I'm kinda glad that the moderation team makes a little more sense. No IT members as Admins, lol wat?

Suggestion: IPB3 has (or had) a mobile version of the skin by default. Where is it? That makes it so much easier to view the boards via smart phone, which I like to do. It should be "automagically" setup to forward people to this skin when they view the board from a phone. I do this a lot and the forums look horrible when viewed by phone

My eyes got distracted by the orange tab. Instead of clicking the the "anime central forums" I keep clicking "anime central" and it takes me to the home page. Do'h! I gotta remember not to do that from now on lol.

The added post counts are probably due to counting posts from forums that have not been counted in the past (aka. insanity forum). Well maybe not though, as I don't know if I posted THAT much more (300+ from what I thought I had before).

Edit, I take that back. Post count here looks fine, but in the profile it looks inflated (at least for me).

Jguy - The mobile skins aren't auto-generated, so if one doesn't exist, it can't auto-switch. I've got a Droid so not sure how they're looking on a standard mobile browser setup. I'm willing to check in to that though.

Working on this. I know there's an iPhone app but I haven't been able to test it yet.

We recounted the posts so there's bound to be some confusion and changing around, especially with moved and deleted posts and so on. Also, we redid the ranks so you may find your group changes as you post...

Back on the old version, that image to the left of each forum would "light up" (go from dim to blue) everytime a post was in that forum that was unread. Can we get that back? That's how I kept up with forums that I frequented.

It does now, the color change isn't as pronounced.

What I would think would be cool is Groups and like like give you choices depending on what you have unlocked. For example, I am a newbie now. If I unlock the new one, I move up to it, but I can still have the choice to change back to newbie/ any other ones I have unlocked. I don't think this is available for this type of forums though :/

You think I'd overlook that?? A GUIDE to the new icons. Remember, the forum was refreshed, so it won't know what's new to you again. You might want to mark the whole board read, (at the bottom) and start fresh.

They had to had to re-count everyone's posts because it counted insanity and chit chat posts. My post count is wrong because I know I'm at over 6,800 posts.

I don't really like the new layout. It's way too bright and it really really hurts my eyes. They made the forums more spread out vertically and it isn't condensed as much.

I hope they get more colors or a darker skin because this hurts my eyes and the colors are boring.

Edit: Can I have my posts back?

No - for a variety of reasons pics are not allowed in sigs or in posts. If you use the icon, it will just show the text of the link.
